Why would a win over a LOWER ranked Pac propel Floyd in rankings? You said yourself Pac ranks far lower than Floyd now so winning over lower opposition doesn't exactly move you up.

As a defensive boxer he's certainly top 10, but overall, never. He's just never been that type of fighter that sends shockwaves through the arena. Ray Leonard could box but also finish opponents. How many true knockouts does Floyd even have? He hit Ortiz while he was looking at the ref (which was Ortiz' own damn fault), Hatton suffered damage falling on the ringpost, and any other knockout I can't even remember. His fights are also painfully boring.

how does that factor into ones ability ? knocks out mean way too much to certain people.

the fact is its harder to beat HOFers over 12 rounds than it is when you can KO them because you're much bigger and stronger.

Floyd gets compared to SRR and SRL, how is that ? they are both WAY bigger than Floyd. they were 130 (where Floyd started) when they were in middle school. hell, they fought at 130 when they were still considered children.

and back in SRR days, come one, we talking most of them were poor as hell and fighting to put food on the table. training camps ? they didn't exist unless your were one of the champions. and fighting multiple times a month ? of course they were in shape, they were drinking beer and smoking cigarettes daily. come on man.

SRR was great, really great for his time. whole new world out there where training camps are serious, everyone that enters the ring are as prepared as they can be these days

i wouldn't agree with it but i could see an argument for being over hagler and hearns with a great win, not so much the other two.
