Maybe Roach is wrong. Maybe he still has the legs but he just got banged in the 2nd round by a huge puncher?
Ishe Smith was one of Floyd's sparring partners and he says Freddie is really mistaken. He went on to say there were times when Floyd would give him a lot of movement and he couldn't lay a glove on Floyd. Ishe was responding directly to Freddie's comment. once again Floyd got hit in the temple, it rocked him. it happends.
Or maybe he didn't need to use them? Because let's be honest, a nervous and jittery Mosley is hardly going to have you on your toes and constantly have you on the move. Floyd's legs are perfectly fine, more than enough to be able to deal with Pacquiao.
exactly i thought he moved just enough to be away from punches but able to land his own he did enough runnin in the marquez fight to show he can still move that much when he wants too
I loved Floyd's footwork against Mosley. Personally I like to watch fighters walk around the ring as opposed to skipping about 'on their toes'. Walking while maintaining a sensible distance leaves you always in a position to punch/counter effectively. You can't punch properly when you're on your toes and your feet aren't planted. Floyd simply walked Mosley down behind a tight guard and a stiff, well-timed jab. No need for fancy footwork and Ali-shuffles. Pressure your guy with well-placed feet - it's all you need!
