Maybe I have been very wrong about how good Linares can be...

The Larios fight was very misleading.

Jason Litzau would look like a million bucks against him.

the report you read is wrong. He definately did not struggle badly. and he took almost zero punishment. However he was sloppy for the first few rounds.

He was not hurt or wobbled once.

I just read the entire report and its absolutely awful. I wouldn't be surprised if it was written by bladerunner himself.

It's pretty obvious he's nowhere near as talented as Gamboa. I don't know why people think he is.

He gets floored because he's off balance at times. He could improve that, but he's a risk taker and its always a possibility. Why people think its a chin issue when he's not even hurt is slightly strange.

It doesn't erase everything else he has up his sleeve. Linares is ordinary.

One thing's for sure, anyone who sees him as some buzzsaw who's going to tear through the top ranks of the division has another thing coming. He's good but 130 is deeper than many think it is.

you don't need to be a buzzsaw who fights like Mike Tyson in order to tear through the top ranks of the division. Many have done it with a more conservative style.

I have not yet seen Linares's latest fight but if anyone could name some sights that a could order it from I would appreciate it, I also heard Linares looked poor throughout the fight, this may be due to ring rust as he had a long layoff, but I will have to see the fight and judge it for myself.

i watched the fight and it didn't lessen my (high) opinion of linares at all... i'm wondering if that writer has even seen any of linares's other fights

Linares is also a fighter who relies on his technical abilities, his combinations and polish and timing. Those attributes are definitely affected ring rust.

Boom Boom, why is it when Pac fought Larios it was a fantastic win against a vicious, dangerous opponent but when Linares put him away he sucked balls?
