Maybe look for Hattons punch resistance to have declined...

After getting popped up by mayweather with some good solid sharp punches..... and his lifestyle, including his infamous post fight binge he went on after mayweather.... I wont be suprised if his punch resistance is effective by the combination of it all..... Although there might not be any solid evidence, constant hard drinking like that has to effect a fighter and his resistance..... no?

i think hattons body will just stop in 1 fight. the weight he looses to make 140 is just silly over the last 3 years it has been said that he has lost more than 10stone.

hatton drinks guiness which is good for you it is a meal in a glass and it is well known that " a guiness a day keeps the doctors away"

Yeah I'm looking at this fight closely. I think it could be a pretty good beromoter of how much Hatton has left and if the beating floyd gave him/his life style have taken anything out of him.

If Ricky is slow and the fight is fought at medium distance he does. On the inside Ricky gets too much on his puches and is too quick for him. He's got pretty good footwork on the outside too. Should be an entertaining win for Hatton if he's still all there.

this time hatton has not gone as fat and has looked reasonable since PBF since moving in with the wife his food is better keeping him in better shape.

if he does show effects of slowing then he has nothing to blame apart from himself he lived the highlife and did not keep himself in proper shape.

It is crazy what he puts himself through even before entering the ring. One tough dude, that's for sure.

Hatton was badly hurt, wobbled and almost KO by Collazo. So if indeed his punch resistance has diminished it had to have been way before PBF.

regardless though its a constant thing.... he went 12 with urango after that fight and was only really hurt to the body.... so who knows... all i know is that his chin sure as hell isnt the same as it was before all of that.

Collazo was two years ago already.... add that fight, the mayweather fight, and all the drinking, and rubberbanding in weight in between and it spells disaster.

Hatton has been on the decline that's why he and his team took the Mayweather fight. Hatton and his team probably blew a load when Witter lost. Even though in my opinion Witter would still beat Hatton. But now they can use the excuse that he lost so now he'll never get a shot at Hatton. But anyway you look at it he ducked Witter. Witters style and power would of been too much for Hatton.

Just don't underestimate what fighting in that stadium means to Ricky. I agree that he may be past his physical prime already, but KO'd in front of 55,000 in Manchester? By Juan Lazcano? Very unlikely.

I'd let this one slide, then think about backing Paulie to box circles around him in the fall.

Alot of you guys are forgetting how Hatton blew away JL Castillo right before the Mayweather fight.....

There are'nt many fighters that can fire shots with pinpoint accuracy like Mayweather Jr.
.....and with the shot that caught Hatton....Hatton pretty much supplied the power by lunging foward recklessly the way he did.

Hatton, I believe will have a fairly easy time against Lazcano!

    Agreed

In my honest opinion haton has not ben the same fighter since the kostya tszyu fight.

He took some masive shots from kostya and walked through them all night long, in a real tough fight. Then to be honest he hasnt looked great against mausa (except for the ko) horrible against urango. He did look good against castillo (but he is shop worn) though but collazo and floyd (styles make fights) well need i say more.

Im a huge hatton fan and i hope im wrong and he blasts lazcano out of there inside 8 and sets up a fight with mallinagi. :happy

Lets not forget he has only lost 1 fight to the p4p king and he is only 29, but fighters with hattons come forward all out aggression style tend not to have the longest careers and this is his 45th fight tonight.

Hopefully after tonight we will no a bit more :hat

Hatton is getting written off badly these days... Lazcano is a tough one even if inactive and past his prime, but I feel Hatton will shine and put up a great performance... people will have a bit more faith in him in 24 hours...
