They aren't going to fight more than once. And when/if they ever fight once it will be a noncompetitive mismatch. It will be Mayweather/ Hatton all over again.

Tunney and Dempsey will never get a lot of respect from me because they were the biggest duckers of all time. They fought no black fighters.

Before you tell me about Tunney trying to get a fight with Wills, let me repeat that he fought no black fighters. These 2 guys must be deleted from all the top 20 lists, period. :deal

which to be fair, were mostly considered newspaper wins. when you fought in an era where many non KO bouts were automatically rule NC, newspaper reports are the only reliable source of who truly won. in most of those, greb was the clear winner

i get your point but maybe his time not a lot of people cared so much

example, has hopkins fought in europe against guys like erdei, braehmar, etc etc

most people dont care maybe the same went for tunney not fighting the blacks

There are no video footage of any of his fights. Only stories told by those alive to see him fight, based on down generations. With Robinson, we have actual footage, as well as him being more recent. From what I've been told (passed down) was that he was a rough and tough fighter, but the rules were a bit different in those times. Some of his tactics would no longer be allowed. Based on accomplishments, record, and stories he is one of the greats. Fighters back then were extremely tough and durable though. I've always been compelled by his story.

He never fought a black guy. It´s arguable that he actually lost 3 not one of the Greb fights. Tunney was great though.

There were probably more than 3 times the number of fighters in the US alone than there are today in the whole world.

Which black fighter should Tunney have fought. He wanted to fight Wills who turned it down. Who else?
