Maybe Usyk retired Joshua

Doubt his ego will allow him to fight for smaller purses in smaller venues. He still thinks he's king and Hearn can just erase the Usyk losses.

But i don't want him to retire out on a whimper. I want to see him get violently KO'd before announcing his retirement from the hospital bed

 

I am sure AJ is was not exactly displeased that Fury had his 'episodes' and lost his IBF belt, as due to those we had the AJ era, and very lucrative it was for him too.

While Fury was bingeing on drugs, booze and food, complaining of mental health and how everyone was against him, whilst being a keyboard rather than a ring warrior, AJ was earning big.

The disrespectful belt throwing AJ is crying all the way to the bank.

Plus even now, AJ could get purses majority of other fighters could only dream of, that my friends is quite a brand AJ and his team have created.

 

I think he gets a solid win or two before he goes out. I’d understand if he does retired now though, he’s made close to 100 mil already and has really good sources of income outside of boxing.

 

That would be the smart thing and that's what most people plan on. The problem is, after getting those final solid wins, most people immediately say "I'm back!"

 

He's got a three fight deal with dazn doesn't he? I can't see them letting him walk away from that given their lack of names at heavyweight.

 

I am usually pretty harsh on today's boxers, but I've got a bit of a soft spot for AJ for some reason. Everyone has their detractors, but Joshua gets hammered by fans harder than just about anyone these days, seems to me. Not without good reason of course, especially after that tantrum in the Usyk rematch (a rematch he certainly didn't deserve, first fight wasn't close).

AJ did improve a bit and did a bit better second time around, so that's one positive thing to encourage him to keep trying his best & fighting the best. Another positive thing was the victory over Ruiz in the rematch. That took some guts and hard work to come back from that whuppin he got. And although Ruiz completely disrespected the HW title by coming in so heavy, Joshua deserves credit for doing what he had to do to win.

I guess what I'm saying is 'why not?'. We need as many fights as possible right now especially at HW. I want to see Joshua fight everybody & everybody to fight everybody else lol. I want to see loads of fights that mean something, till I have fights coming out of my ears, I want total fight overload lol.

 

How is the only champion since Klitschko that consistently fought top 10 competition the cleansing of the division? AJ retiring does nothing but hurt the sport. Even if AJ doesn't win a belt again ever he would still play an important role in the lower ranks as a contender or gatekeeper.

 

We need to see Joshua - Wilder first.
