ok i apologize for generalizing. i'm sure most mexicans would not tolerate this either. but please don't act like that mayol should have taken the fight instead. there's no tolerating these kind of shits anywhere in the world.

For you to say that Mayol did not take this fight out of principle is naive or disingenuous.
Mayol is a boxer and I'm pretty convinced he would have preferred to have taken the fight but was(for whatever reason) overruled by his charge.

i'm sure he is tempted to fight on just because of the money. but you wouldn't understand principles until someone is cheating you in your face and those same people are denying it.

i think not. unless someone coughs up an insane amount of money for mayol to disregard his "principle".

maybe marquez using a bigger sized gloves would be a good penalty but this can't be the case when the WBA approves on the weigh-in.

yeah but marquez (juan manuel) could not refuse an additional 600k to his pay when floyd did the same thing to him and 600k is not even an insane amount of money for jmm.

let's get real, it's not only money but we have this double-dealing koncz who is doing everything right now to convicne mayol and his camp to fight on. he could have been offering everything to mayol now just to save this fight. it's not too hard when you are in a "verbal contract" only.

remember that mayol is supposed to receive $25k but instead is receiving $20k only. it's really tempting to fight on if money is involved.

Marquez has guts and was determined to fight Floyd no matter what. Who would refuse that "little" bonus.

you could say that but it takes a bigger guts to stand your ground and not tolerate corruption. it's easy to take a bigger pay to let these things pass but it's more difficult to fight it.
