Would've been a good fight when Mayorga was a double champ and Margarito was WBO champ, and I think that would've been a 50-50, as Mayorga had an awesome chin. Now he's been in some big fights and been hit by some good punchers, I see Margarito bombing him out in a few rounds. Mosley should fight Forrest a 3rd time or Margarito. I think Marg could be the first to stop Sugar Shane, sure he has a better chance than anyone, but at his age, I don't think he could stay away for that long. And as good as Shane's chin is, Marg is in his prime (IMO) and would treat a fight with Shane exactly the same way as he did Cotto. But what I REALLY want to see is Williams-Margarito 2, as I think Toni would start earlier, but because PW is also much improved, and seems to be starting earlier as well. I actually think it might end in a K.O, and before Margarito's nuthuggers go crazy I think it could go either way. Margarito clearly has one of the best chins today, but Williams has shown himself to be a very good puncher. EDIT: And to be fair, Williams clearly has a very good chin too.
I don't think Mayorga will be as easy an opponent for Margarito as some people think. Margarito is not a sharp straight puncher like the boxers that beat Mayorga over the past few years. Mayorga may have the chin and the power to put some serious harm on Margarito.
True. But I think it might all be a bit late for Mayorga. And, honestly, he isn't gona' get past Shane tonight. I'm a big fan of Mayorga's, but Shane will win via TKO within 6 rounds. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but I think Shane is gonna' be in top form tonight.
