I want to see this fight ... forget fighting stepping stones, gatekeepers, and journeymen ... put these guys in there with each other to get the record straight.

Who's the best 154 contender out there?

Kirkland is scheduled for Julio in March ... take Kirkland out and put him in there with Angulo --

Angulo says that he's more than ready for Kirkland ...

    What do you guys think?

Both look very vulnerable defensively, I would be surprised if either reached the pinnacle of 154.

Who do you think takes it Fitz?

I'm not going to make a decision but this fight seems like it would be more interesting than Julio v Kirkland ... Julio has already got used to losing ... he loss twice already and has had set backs.

    Quintana outboxed him

Dzindzurik outboxed him (from the look of the scores)

All this fight would do for Kirkland is to see if he has another dimension, but I don't care --

Nothing better than two undefeated fighters hooking up in the ring for the chance to see who leaves with their "0" still in tact.

I like hearing that "somebodies 0 has got to go"

    Julio v Quintana
    DLH v Trinidad
    Forrest v Mosley
    Mayweather v Hatton
    Mayweather v Corrales
    Pavlik v Taylor
    Kessler v Calzaghe
    Adamek v Dawson

    The list goes on --

I thought both were actually talking about fighting each other anyways, so it makes sense, I think Boxing needs more of this, bringing together two up comming prospects can only help the sport move forward and keep the public interest.

Whats been killing boxing is the old lions still hanging around, these newer fighters dont have the skills or work ethic that the older fighters do in order to get rid of them which is why we tend to see so many of these younger guys fighting the older guys.

This card turned out to be too good to be true after all......goddamn it.

Hope they get a worthwhile opponent to make it competitive.

Kirkland would be well into his training camp and would be able to fight Angulo ... what would he be missing a couple of weeks?

He's naturally more gifted than Angulo and from what he says, he has a bit of boxing skill as well.

That fight isnt ready yet, its too soon...It could be the equal to Jones Hopkins in 93..A fight that happened too early...
