I'd like to see it again. I initially thought maybe the last left Cotto threw Before the big hook may have got Mayo's thumb...like to look again.:yep
I think Mayorga had a real thumb injury, you could tell that he was not acting at all. He was not that hurt by the left hook at all. I want to see Mayweather fight Cotto as a comeback fight..!!!
He may have felt something in his thumb, but it was due to him getting his jaw smashed. The nerves in his hand may have been temporarily stung but make no mistake, he got rocked. He may very well have planned to do this if hurt in order to save face for talkin so much sht. Any way you spin it, he got smashed. His thumb was fine and you see it clearly after the fight when he is being interviews and pulling on his towel with that hand. No problems... I think he either faked the pain, or actually felt his nerves go crazy from that hook to his jaw.
