****ing shameful, he wont fight a contender but give him a washed up shell of a fighter in Mayorga and he's all over that. I'm really starting to not like this kid, and GBP handling of him and his precious 0 is ridiculous. Can't even believe any major sanctioning body would green light a title fight like this. Mayorga has done nothing but get knocked out for years but gets a title shot pathetic.

 

What a waste of a fight date. Mayorga is not a great fighter or even good at this point. Why not fight Lara if they want an opponent. This seems made up. I don't think this fight is going to happen. Mayorga is just not quality enough for a title defense. Canelo needs a current top fighter to fight.

I agree with just about all this, but the hate should be directed at the responsible party, and that's GBP. Canelo is just a kid making millions for his fight, and getting the celebrity treatment at this point. It'll probably be years until he takes the reign on his career.
