I'd love to see him fight pbf. I'd ppv for the press conference.

....Mickey Walker and Harry Greb got by with some of the excesses of Mayorga's less than puritan life style .....but Mayorga isn't Mickey or Harry. But, what the hell, if they keep him fighting b-level fighters he could be around for a while...a short while. He is entertaining in his way, and i thought the poster here who said he'd pay to see the press conference with pbf was more on the mark than it might sound!! That would be his only chance to be competitive.

you must be on the wind up, Mayorga won that fight but got robbed by the judges and THE REF. He had Stinks (who didn't land ****) running all night and Stinks went down a few times and they were ALL ruled slips, which was ****in bull****.

that fight was disgusting. he was putting down spinkis with clear KD's, but spinks would make this face like a bee stung kid and cry slip. fukn ref bought all of it too.

    Mayorga STILL SUCKS!

He maintained more control in this fight and it helped carry him to victory. Yet, Vargas was a SHOT FIGHTER!!! Still a game fighter and one who put forth a great effort considering all the circumstances.
Ricky being pushed to seconds left in the elevnth round by shot Vargas isnt painting a rosy picture.

The clear fight to make is Mayorga vs Forrest 3. It would make sense at 54 as Forrest has the WBC Belt, pending the outcome of Forrest vs Piccirillo on 12/1. I gotta think this time around Forrest has to have more than Mayorga. Shoulder problems contributed largely to his problems in the first two fights. Another good performance next weekend could line it all up.

We have to remember that he was in against a guy who was a shell of his former self and he didn't exactly dominate him

Knocked spinks down with a body shot too, so clear it was a disgrace how the ref (who already had it in for Mayorga) ruled it a slip!!!

The ref also deducts points for Mayorga for rabbit punches but tells spinks NOTHING for ducking down to Mayorga's crotch and jumping to the canvas to get out of Mayorga's way all night long.

Take away the point deductions and rule atleast 2 or even 1 KD and Mayorga wins very wide on the cards.

But before the fight this was all about Cory Spinks, about his deceased mother, his uncle and his father who were all there and how Spinks would fulfill his life's mission,...PATHETIC!

the fight before which was the ruiz-rahman 12 round embrace was equally disgusting (without question the shittiest fight i have ever seen). yeah i remember all the spinks back story they were playing out, spinks jinx strikes back or some ****. i thought mayotga was in for it after that. spinks (literally, no ****) crying like a woman made me want to throw something at the TV. mayorga was 100x more marketable than spinks then, what the suits saw in him is baffling.

Didn't dominate, but clearly beat a much bigger guy who - although faded - was expected by many to be dominant himself.

Forrest fight Pircillo(misspelled) next. Mayorga beat that dude for the WBC 154 belt. Who ever wins that one I'm sure they both would like to avenge their loss to Mr BAD ASS MAYORGA!
