mayorga v talyor-whats the point ?

    apparently according to websites this fight is in the works for june/july

    not sure of the weight its being arranged at but apparently the winner linerd up to fight roy jones .

    if this is the case, personally i do not see the point of a mayorga v taylor fight.



    seesm to me yet another gimmick fight of which we have been served a lot of in and around 164 and 170 recently.

    its like the 168 division is being bypassed, so name fighters can fight each other without having to beat any actual legit top 10 168 fighters.

    whats next trinidad v mayweather at 163 and a bit.

    He realised he would have to train his ass off to get there, and would rather smoke, drink, do his thing, show up, get his ass kicked then get paid....


    Mayorga doesnt care about legacy or winning or losing... he just wants that money.

    He would fight Wlad if theyd let him

    to me it makes sense, name opponent and Taylor needs/DESERVES an easy match before Kessler.

    Taylor is the last you can call embarrasing, just look at his latest fights, all are elite fighters.. he deserves this before having to lose once again against a slightly better fighter (kessler),

    Mayorga is not competitive at that weight, beating a shot Vargas means nothing, he should fight at welter or light middleweight. I don't think he can still make these weights tho
