now this is a match worthy of talking about .. .

who wins out of these two savage sluggers from different eras

    ricardo mayorga

    vs

    frank the animal fletcher

both heavy handed fighters...granted i know fletch fought at 160 .. mayorga could make the weight if he had too ...

i choose mayorga by 5th round stoppage .. both men would be rocked several times with mayorga possible going down... but i see mayorga catching frank big and hurting him .. once mayorga has you there..he can and will take you out

    any other thoughts?

Any fighter fighter to defeat a prime Frank " the animal" Fletcher will have have to be willing to go to hell and back. Fletcher would take the Mayorga onslaught probably be cut, hurt and staggered, but he'll still be there and in the later rounds Fletcher kicks it into another gear. Given Mayorga's defense this could not turn into anything else but a war. And Fletcher was the best at phonebooth warfare. Fletcher late round TKO or UD( maybe even split.)

Fletcher would tko Mayorga in about five rounds.Too much heart and resistance from Frank for Richard to overcome.

Mayo is NEVER gonna beat Fletcher at 160....... Never........ I'm talkin' 2004 or 2005 Mayo versus a 1982 to 1983 Fletcher in a time machine....... Fletcher KO's Mayo in 8....
