Mayorga vs margo

Today who knows, Mayo is washed up and has been ruined by Tito, Margo is and has always been a slow limited plodder with zero defense. That being said a Peak Mayorga would've destroyed him.

 

I like Mayorga on points...Exciting fight that Mayorga will hopefully call for after Angulo!

 

Margo would be practically forced to tighten his defence after the weekend,and moreover Shane's punches land a hell of a lot quicker tham Mayorga's shots;even with his lousy defence he would duck or block most of Mayorga's snail shots with room to spare.

i like mayorga in this at 154. probably one of the few times margarito faces someone physically stronger than him, close to his size. also, take note that margarito's previous outings at 154 have been mediocre. both guys have non-existent defense, and i think mayorga can land a lot of leather on margarito, with his superior handspeed.

 

No he wouldnt and Mayo isnt snail like. Marg has little to no clue on how to defend himself, he would eat alot of shots. Shots coming from a man who would weigh about 165-170 on fight night.

 

I would bet on pre Cotto version of MArgarito vs Mayorga now

but if its at 154 I gotta go with mayorga

 

Mayorga hasn't knocked out anyone since 03. His power has been a moot point for a while.

Mayorga got rocked in the first round against Shane. He was just so akward and has a bigger punch than Margarito that Shane was hesitant to throw. Shane was stunned in the first round against Mayo also. Unless he was completely ruined then Margarito still has a better chin than Mayorga at this point.

I think it would be a 50/50 fight but Margarito might be finished Mentally as well as Physically.
