May's offer to Pac. May's attempt to collect the first $100M purse?

There have been reports of him asking $100M before. Did he think he really had a shot at this plus the ego trip it would bring? Could this be the underlying reason he tried to push this deal through? If the fight grossed $140M or more he would still have to pay expenses but he could claim his share or the total pot was $100M. "The fight grossed $140M and I paid the chump $40M so I made $100M." Judging by his fans on this board the fact that is before expenses wouldn't matter, his fan base will just keep repeating the $100M figure. Did he think the fight would do well over $140M and he would actually get a $100M purse?

When has a fighter EVER been paid $100,000,000? Infact ANY athlete for ONE event? It has never happened and it never will. I understand Floyd wants as much money as possible but unless PPV is $100 and the contract heavily stacked and SIGNED and agreed to in Floyd'd favour he will NEVER get that much money.

All you idiots can carry on dreaming about what Floyd 'deserves'. In reality both fighters should get a FAIR deal and a FAIR amount, not neccesarily 50/50 but something that is fair and unilaterally agreed to by both parties.

By Floyd saying he wants $100m or for Pac to get no PPV revenue just shows how illiterate he is in business matters.

It's quite possible that Floyd tried to pull a quick one. There was that incident between Pac, Oscar, and suitcase full of cash. So maybe Floyd felt obligated, being the money-hungry ***** that he is, to try and financially assrape Manny. The only problem with this premise is that it obviously didn't work, it's been a week, and he's yet to respond to Pac's "take it or leave it" offer...so the longer he holds off, one's gotta conclude that he understood all along Pac was never gonna agree to a flat rate and that all this **** was just one big pr stunt to make it appear he wanted to fight MannyPac.

I honestly believe that he will keep quite expecting Arum to announce Pac's next opponent soon. Then he will claim that the money issue was on the table and Arum pulled out of negotiations. This in spite of Arum claiming he doesn't even know who to talk to on that side and people using that saying it shows Arum is unwilling to talk and obviously doesn't want the fight. This won't die anytime soon. :-(

This is a person that made upwards of 40 million fighting Victor Ortiz! You gotta understand, if he can make that money against a tree, you can believe he wants to seriously cake off with this "mega event", or whatever they're calling it these days.

Greedy, yup. But all of us are commenting on a website and can't even imagine making that much money, for 36 minutes of work (maybe).

No, *******s conclude this. No one knows wtf went on or is going on. That's the problem with this convoluted situation.

Floyd is an idiot for being unrealistic, this fight will not happen unless "everyone" is happy. Just like when you deal in any other business, could be just buying/selling car.

You can clearly see whos the ducker/greedy/bullshitter here.

There could be some truth to this. If Floyd wants to be the sole promoter, then who represents him in negotiations? He said to call GBP but it sounds like Floyd is cutting them out of the loop. Is Ellerby a serious negotiator for this kind of coin? Arum and Haymon would rather kill each other than speak. Floyd called Pac, not Arum. You tell me who is in charge over there and who Arum would negotiate with.

Who said GBP was out of the loop? Wasn't that an Arum quote? :think

Mayweather feels he could try and sneak his way into making that amount, though no one sane believes he would be able to. Pacquiao's team aren't exactly stupid to allow that to happen.

tells you that 40 million is over paid and a joke ...so the logic that he should make 60 million more because its manny and not victor is beyond delusional
