I think most blackapinos support Packy. Roger just got that kid brainwashed. Noticed how he had to whisper Floyd to Elie, like he was ashamed to to say it..

Maybe he's just afraid of the backlash from Filipinos. The Mayweathers are probably like family to him. So obviously he's going to favor Floyd over Pac. It's not brainwashing. It's loyalty and showing love to those who care for you. I like the kid. He doesn't really care about the Pac-Floyd drama. He just focuses on what is fun for him and isn't concerned about looking cool in front of the camera like the kid in Garcia's gym.

 

I can tell he's a blackapino...where I grew up(Va & NY), this is a fairly common biracial mix where there is a proportionately large Filipino population and a large black population. Alotta my boys from Va tell me that after blacks, Filos make up the largest minority (mostly 757 area code). And from my experience, Filipinos aren't as homogenuos as other Asians and are more open to intermarriage. Hate to generalize, but Fil-Ams are also more "hip-hop" and urban than their other Asian counterparts...so it's not an uncommon mix. A couple of my boys are black/Flip, and there's a few in the mainstream like Bruno Mars and that dude from Black Eyed Peas.

....and yes, I agree he's just a kid man. But come on, aren't the Mayweathers the ones going on racist attacks. How would you feel when people close to you are denigrating half of your cultural heritage.

 

Interested in seeing how well the Blackapino develops. If Roger can take kids and turn them into champions then maybe he'll get his due as a trainer.
