Less than a week before Pac's superfight something Mayweather supposedly did at a press conference is the biggest boxing news going today. Who is winning the PR war again?

    Any publicity...

They sue him for...denying an interview? That's not illegal, friend. Neither is denying an interview to someone who has stated that you're trash, and that Pacquiao would kill you.

I read somewhere that these philipino journalists arrived late and was told that floyd would not be asking any questions about pac. Now I wasn't there so i dont know what side to believe. But I can see it as a discriminating act if they were not allowed in based on their nationality and their suspected bias towards pac.

That being said, they are journalists, and there is a video on youtube showing the press conference and you can clearly see philpino fans in the crowd. Check out Ellie secback report video

There is always two sides to every story.

    That is actually true man.

I seen floyd being interviewed by filipino journalist. I seen diane talked to him a few times so I dont think hes being racist or anything, the story is probaby incomplete.

It is however wrong if they were flat out refused because they were filipinos.

The legality of the act is NOT the issue.

Barring filipino's from his press conferences is within his rights, but it tells us much about the guy's mentality.

As does asking other Filipino-looking journalists (JApanese) about their ethnicity.

    Class act.

Nearly as classy as Papa Mayweather tossing unsupported drug allegations because his boy is scared.

All I know is if Pac banned black people from interviewing him, there would be a much bigger outrage here. I know race and nationality are different, but filipino's dont group and class themselves as "brown people", black people identify themselves as "black" or "african american", so at the end of the day, nationality or race, its just a group of people being singled out.

They banned a Filipino journalist too? :patsch

This is a bit too far, why take it so personal unless they know those journalists are coming to annoy and start discussions not fully related to his fight with Mosley. If not then he's taking things a bit too serious and this hate isn't an early promotion for a future fight but pure hate and jealousy.

More proof that the entire Mayweather clan is bad for boxing, and a horrible representation of America.

Yeah. How hard is it to say, "I'm focused on my upcoming fight with Shane Mosely and I'm not going to answer questions about other fights at this time". ? Canned speech they all know.

My honest assessment is this....I think people have to realize that Filpino is not just a race classification, but a nationality, like being American, or British. There is no proof that them being Filipino had anything to do with them being denied an interview. But if it did then it is possible that he didn't want to talk to them because they are from the same country as pac, and likely biased Pacquiao supporters. It would be like an American refusing to talk to a member of the british media, regardless of if the journalist, was black, white, middle eastern etc... Its not racial, you just know that the other country is going to support their guy and is biased against you.

With all of that said, if evidence surfaces that shows that Mayweather denied and interview to Filipinos, simply because of a racial dislike for them, then he is dead wrong bottom line... I don't support racism no matter who it comes from.
