Mayweather: “If (Ortiz) Feels Like It Was A Fluke...Then I’ll Do It Again." Rematch?

I’m not big Mayweather fan, but your hatred for him clearly clouds your thinking. I think you had little too much to drink and wishful thinking when you watched the fight

Ortiz was eating SINGLE shots, and walking right through them. Floyd is not a puncher, and even his sucker punch left hook didn't hurt Ortiz.

What's worse is that Ortiz was starting to time Mayweather and make him lunge in with his punches because Mayweather couldn't just easily tag Ortiz at a safe distance like he did with Marquez who was much smaller.

In addition, Mayweather was getting off balance with his right hands, stepping foward, often with his foot leaving the ground.

In the fourth round, Ortiz timed him, Mayweather missed with the punch, rolled predictably to his right, and Ortiz nailed him with a hard left hand.

If anybody was growing weaker, it was Mayweather who had a signficantly higher workrate than Ortiz, was throwing power punches and combinations, and missing many shots, while neglecting to continue the body work he initiated in the first round.

Ortiz was using his size, boxing ability, and strength to dominate Mayweather except for the occasional right hand leads, but many of them hit Ortiz in the forehead or the top of the head.

And the ones that did land flush...Ortiz didn't stutter. He kept coming.

Floyd was going to get the **** beat out of him. All that "screaming" he was doing when Ortiz was destroying is body indicated to me that he was being hurt, despite his demeanor he showed in the ring.

Considering Mayweather's pride, he wouldn't go out easily, and would likely absorb the beating of a lifetime.

 

We could all assume , but we would never know .

I want to know which round did Floyd "Hurt" Ortiz because i must've missed that .

 

I don't hate Mayweather.

I don't feel one way or another about him; however, I'm not blind and I'm not deaf.

Ortiz was beating the **** outta him. Yes, Mayweather was landing singular right hands; however, Ortiz was not getting hurt.

Why do you think I hate Mayweather?

Because my opininon differs from yours? If you feel differently about the fight, that's fine, but don't say that I have hatred for a man that I don't even know.

Mayweather got VERY lucky. He was in for a beating. I don't understand how few people are being objective...

Perhaps, there is a reason why people are denying this...

I know it would have cost them millions if Floyd got the **** beat outta him by a guy like Ortiz...but it was happening.

Floyd will NEVER EVER rematch Ortiz. Ortiz made him feel normal and vulnerable.

Ortiz may have done irreversable psychological damage. I honestly, wouldn't be surprised if Mayweather is done for good.

He may be finished...

Maybe those 2 years were too much for him...or more likely, it was a style matchup that was just wrong for him.

Mayweather is a smaller welter that lacks power, while Ortiz is HUGE and could take Mayweather's punches.

Did ya'll not see Ortiz' punches land against Mayweather and penetrate right through his guard?

Yeah I got it and I watch it on TV. I never watch fights first time in youtube

I rewatch it today evening after my training, just to see this "squeling" and punches that almnost KO Mayweather

I know that you're a huge Floyd fan, and I know that Floyd is a great boxer; however, you need to watch the fight again.

Floyd was literally SQUEALING like a mouse when Ortiz would land his shots...TYPICALLY BEFORE Floyd would land his, and often when Floyd was THROWING a shot.

Mayweather will NEVER rematch this guy unless he's got some BALLS because Ortiz has his number.

Didn't you notice Mayweather LUNGING in with his right hands and MISSING?

Ortiz got his timing down and it was only the 4th round.

Many of the shots that were landing, landed on the top of Ortiz' head
or on his forehead.

And the ones that DID land, didn't deter Ortiz.

I didn't hear Ortiz squealing.

That was Mayweather.

Watch the fight and turn the volume up. You still got it on your tv right?

Mayweather looked incredibly vulnerable. He set that cheap shot up too.

Now, I know Ortiz did some cheap ****, and in a way "what comes around goes around" is correct, but it was still a cheap shot.

And Mayweather set him up, put his arms out, Ortiz embraced, and Mayweather knew EXACTLY what he was going to do.

He was successful, and lucky for him, Ortiz didn't get up.

But Ortiz was giving Mayweather a BEATING.

Mayweather was tenative when walking him down. He was following Ortiz, and then launching punches that were coming up SHORT.

Because unlike Marquez for instance, Mayweather couldn't just stay out of Marquez range and fire shots.

Against Ortiz, when Mayweather fired, he often got HIT in return, prompting him to throw his shots short.

This was giving Ortiz an advantage because now it was up to him to time Mayweather...

WHICH he did...

In the 4th round with that left hand when Mayweather AGAIN threw a short right hand, where he lunged foward with both feet, and rolled predictably to his right when Ortiz nailed him with a left, then a right, then some more punches.

Mayweather was in trouble...

He was going to get the **** beat outta him.

I've never seen him that vulnerable before. He needs to stay away from guys with size, power, and a chin.

He can still beat Pac, but that's because Pac is a small guy like Mayweather.

He will NEVER rematch Ortiz.
