No. It was not his best round. His best round was round one. In the 4th round he got beat up in the middle of the ring to begin the round, got picked off with counter punches for the first 2 minutes of the round. Got a flurry in to end the round, got frustrated because he couldnt hit Mayweather, and then got frustrated and butted Mayweather.

Ortiz was finished mentally. Thats why the butt came. He was getting hit flush and he couldnt do much when Floyds on the ropes.


Tell me, what was Ortiz doing to Floyd against the ropes that Oscar and Hatton werent doing? How'd those fights end for them?

If you look at the 4 rounds as a whole, the fight was close and Ortiz was starting to tag FLoyd more often. Not unlike Floyd/Castillo.

Not saying Ortiz would have won had floyd not sucker punched his way out of it. But there was 8 rounds to go and the fight was starting to get interesting.

It looked like Ortiz was going to eventually knock Mayweather out.

Mayweather couldn't hurt Ortiz with his BEST PUNCHES when he has FULL stamina.

What makes anyone think that Mayweather would be stronger when he was throwing far more punches than Ortiz, missing many punches, throwing many with full power, and absorbing a large amount of body shots while simeltaneously abandoning the body attack himself.

Floyd was getting weaker and getting scared.

He was going to get knocked out.

 

All but one of those punches failed to hit any part of Ortiz head. Floyd landed 8 punches in a row unanswered.

And after that Ortiz got countered some more with precise shots for the next 2 minutes of the round. ONly thing Ortiz did in the round was in the last 40 seconds when he got the flurry on the ropes, and even then only maybe 2 punches landed in the melee.

I counted 18 shots missed by Floyd at the start of the round.Hooks,jabs,right hands you name it.

I think Floyd is such a defensive genius, whenever a fighter gets Floyd against the ropes and starts missing wild punches, you guys cum in your pants.

 

I just watched the fight on my big screen. It was getting interesting only if you never seen a Mayweather fight before, and think ineffective flurries against the ropes mean something. When thats pretty much what Floyd likes his opponents to do as he's picking them off.

In most cases, when you got a YOUNG fighter facing an OLD fighter...

And the Old fighter is at a signficant disadvantage in size, is throwing his hardest punches, throwing far more than his adversary, missing punches, lunging with right hands, and abandoning a body attack, meanwhile, the YOUNG fighter is conserving his energy, and blasting body shots on the OLD fighter...

Who do you think was going to gets stronger?

Mayweather hit Ortiz with EVERYTHING he had EARLY, and didn't do ****.

What makes you think a fatigued, missing, getting countered, making mistakes, Mayweather was going to start coming on strong, and punching with MORE power even though he couldn't hurt Ortiz at FULL STAMINA?

That makes NO sense.

I mean, I get that Mayweather is a very hard worker, but Ortiz is also much younger.

Are you just giving Mayweather the benefit of the doubt due to statistics, IE 41 have tried etc...

Because stastics don't really matter in this situation.

- Mayweather is flicking the jab, trying to set up the right hand. You see this as missing punches. Guys who know boxing see this as Floyd trying to set up his right hand.

- Mayweather gets Ortiz to step into a right uppercut. Proceeds to land 11 (I counted unanswered punches) The announcers go wild

- Ortiz gets Floyd to ropes. Misses, lands a punch to the back of Floyds head

- Ortiz lunges in. Floyd catches him with a left hook.

- Floyd pawing with the left hand again. Lands a straight right. Not much power behind it

- Mayweather catches Ortiz with a left uppercut, and a right cross flush

- Ortiz catches Floyd with a left and right hand as Floyd is trying to circle away. Gets Mayweather to ropes. Ortiz proceeds to miss almost everything. The announcer is screaming at Ortiz to go to the body because Ortiz is missing all his punches

- Floyd proceeds to hit Ortiz with right hands, Ortiz whiffs big on a left (Announcer "Ortiz is swinging for the fences, he's missing by a mile")

- Ortiz gets Floyd to the ropes. Cant land anything clean. Tries to head butt Mayweather and gets warned

- Ortiz whiffs big on a left hand. Gets a right to the back of Floyds head.

- Ortiz whiffs big on another left. Floyd counters with a straight right down the pipe

- Mayweather pawing with the jab, misses with 2 left hooks as Ortiz is backing up, catches Ortiz with a flush right hand that stops Ortiz in his tracks

- Mayweather catches Ortiz with another big right hand

- Mayweather hits Ortiz with a left hook and straight right hand. Nothing with much power

- Mayweather catches Ortiz with a right uppercut, Ortiz walks through it, catches Mayweather with the left, starts throwing another flurry, Mayweathers laughing at him, Ortiz head butts him, 2 piece and a side of Nyquil, fight over.
