Mayweather 130-147 beats out Duran anywhere

Much less far fetch than Duran Koing someone who has never been KO or KD.

I said this bc i know Floyd is just a blur at 130. Duran doesn't have the hand speed or foot speed to deal with Floyd at 130. Floyd is much faster than SRL.

And Floyd is not faster than SRL. That's crazy. SRL had some of the fastest hands in the history of the sport.

Duran had legitimate power too, he wasn't called hands of stone for no reason and he was an adept counterpuncher who came at angles.

Cotto doesn't have very good inside fighting ability in my opinion. He just puts his hands up in a high guard and leans on his opponent. Duran takes angles and places his punches, and the ropes are the worst place to be against him.

I didn't say Duran would KO Mayweather. It's possible, but like you said Mayweather has never been KOed. He has been knocked down by Zab Judah, but not KOed.

I'd say it's 50/50.

SRL throws fast furys and great handspeed i agree but is more than just hands in terms of speed. Foot movement, upperbody, fients, reflexes. ANyone can be fast is what you can do with the speed is what matters.

 

I think he was faster with his hands and his feet.

I suppose you could assume that Mayweather was faster with his upperbody movement against the ropes, for instance, but SRL preferred to use his feet to get out the way.

You can't go agianst Hagler or Hearns or Duran and lay on the ropes. It doesn't matter how good your defense is, that's the worst spot to be.

And SRL had exceptionally quick hands and feet.

 

I am at work but when i get home i will find a video where it demostrates floyd's speed. and you guys can find one of SRL and compare.

 

Good point he quit cause he was FRUSTRATED,not even from taking a beating.. Cotto gets starched with plaster,takes a knee and the boxing public crucified him,imagine if he was a quiter like Duran..

 

I mean, you're talking about an insignficant difference anyway. We already know Floyd is faster than Duran.

 

Besides Sugar Ray once,Duran couldn't beat anyone of his caliber either.

 

I am just saying Overall speed Floyd is quicker. Due to different styles where SRL is flashy on purpose throwing slapping punches sometimes to showoff as oppose to Floyd's serious approach in speed which is hit and not get hit. Snipe and disappear. Floyd doesn't throw more than 4 hits often.

 

But at the same time, Floyd's low workrate would give Duran an opportunity to win rounds.

And Floyd's accuracy, or not necessarily his accuracy, but his opportunity for accuracy would be lessened by Duran's intelligent aggressive defense and his own counterpunching ability.

Like I said, both men could win this fight, but if they both come at their best, it's not going to be easy for either man.
