Thats not the worst part... On top of that, Marquez is gonna turn up the heat in the 2nd half of the fight & give PBF a beating he'll never forget! :bbb
Do you think Manny's team will let Cotto swell up to 160 like he ALWAYS does??:think:think Cotto doesn't hold the cards..he won't be able to.:deal
This was taken from an interview from mayweather last week Against Marquez, Mayweather faces a seasoned, full-time fighter, whose two has a draw and loss to Pacquiao in two fights that he could have easily won. Against Mayweather, he is the underdog, a heavy one, mostly because the former featherweight and lightweight champion has never fought as a welter and presumably won’t be one on Sept. 19. The reported catch-weight is 144 pounds. Marquez predicted in a conference call nearly two weeks ago that he will be at 142 pounds. On the same call, however, Mayweather again would not confirm the reported catch weight. “Not weighting no 143,’’ said Mayweather, who dismissed reports of the catch weight as rumors. “It’s a welterweight fight. I weigh whatever a welterweight weighs.’’ Apparently, that means Mayweather will weigh whatever he wants. Or maybe it means the biggest weigh-in flap since Jose Luis Castillo. Whatever it leads to, it is just another example of Mayweather’s ability to keep opponents and media guessing, which – truth is – part of the intrigue in the countdown to Marquez.
Like seriously? Cotto will just be 1 pound below his previous weight in. And he can still balloon up more than Pac could. Don't change the topic with bunch of your crazy fictions.
He's just been training his ass off for the biggest pay day of his career, knowing his entire Nation will be cheering him on this Saturday. He had no choice, and Floyd knew it.
Now why did Marquez accept it? If you put yourself in his shoes (difficult to do) you will hopefully begin to understand why he has accepted the fight. He is receiving the biggest payday of his career, so would he really cancel the fight? There are no belts on the line. He has trained very hard unlike floyd (obviously, unless he had this stunt planned all along). These are the few points which i presume why marquez agreed to the fight. Anyway, that was to shut you up regarding why marquez accepted the fight. You seem to be missing the point. People are mad because Floyd lied to all the fans. He already had the size advantage even if they both weighed in at 144 let alone floyd coming in at 146lbs. It about principles and professionlism. IMO this stunt defines floyd as a person. It's a stunt which a true great (which mayweather wants to be recognised as) would never do. In a recent interview, he said something alone the lines of, he needs a couple of more fights to be recognised as the best fighter ever. Is a stunt like this really going to help him achieve his goal? He also brags about why boxing is a great sport, but when in reality stunts like this and all the other politics involved in his cherry picking career is what is killing the sport. Floyd may "technically" be correct in regards to what has gone on with the contract negotiations with Marquez, but they is way way way beyond the point. There are many other points (some mentioned above) as why everybody is so mad. Just to let you know, im not mad at all because i never buy floyds fights anyway and also IMO it makes no difference at what weight Floyd weighed in at, because he will win either way as he is naturally a bigger guy. I might start paying more attention to him once he starts fighting elite fighters in his own weightclass though
Yeah..Kudos for making the most money he's every made. Kudos for having the nuts to say Floyd's name after a fight..unlike Cotto and Pacman.:deal
If Floy backs up and runs, I will be dissapointed. He is no great IMO if he do..The kid is gonna be bigger.I don't wanna see this pot shotting stunts he pulls off everytime he fights the real deal.He has to trade.
Floyd never agreed to 144. I dont know where ya'll got that **** from in the first place JMM don't run ****.
Nope, he gets all the credit IF, he comes in at the stipulated limit. I sure hope he's not pu**y and weigh in above it:hey
