As a mayweather fan, Im disappointed that the floyd camp didnt care enough about this fight to stick what they agreed on. Now if he beats marquez, it take away some significance imo

catchweights are stupid anyway. Marquez is fighting at welterweight, he should agree to fight at the welterweight limit.

:goodDefinitely. I wrote an article for another boxing site on the significance a win for Floyd would hold, now he has come in over the limit. It gives another reason for his haters to claim he 'cherry picks' and manufactures wins.

I was shocked watching yesterday. I can't understand why more of a fuss wasn't created on the stage other than a few looks and a few quiet words. I really want JMM to take this one, more so now than ever.

Of course Marquez had no problem with Mayweather being north of the border like Keith kizer suggested... This is fundamentally a non-title fight, a GBP event and a comeback fight for Mayweather, nothing more! I say don't believe in Schaefer or whoever said that there's a penalty and a six figure fee. It's a fight to get both fighters, teams and promoters full of green money and not to make thempay fees. Back to boxing, unbelievable how Floyd picks a lightweight to fight after the light welter Hatton and makes it again a 147 pound fight!!! But I tell you what I predict natural ww Floyd will spend every little piece of his natural 147 pound body/energy to fight a 142 pound Marquez... It's a technical-fighter's heart POV to sustain that prediction - Floyd by close UD.

your stupid....if it was for a welterweight title then it should be at the welterweight limit, but in this case why is a catchweight stupid??

if it was accepted by both parties as a weight which will be fair to both of them in terms of making the weight then so be it....

if marquez knew it was going to be at the welterweight limit then he would not have agreed to the fight as he knew the size difference would be too great....floyd's a dick for switching the contract last min know marquez wouldnt pull out because he's more of a man than mayweather ever could be. mayweather was more than likely going to win anyway he didnt need to do this... he could have shown decency and lost the weight what a dick

If I recall Marquez is weighing around 142, he's a welterweight right now. Catchweights are stupid, you don't see boxers in the past like Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns, or many other great boxers in the past doing "catchweights". It's like when Mikkel Kessler wanted to challenge Chad Dawson in a catchweight at 170. Boxers should agree at the weight limit depending on the division, if you can't see catchweights are dumb than you're dumb.

After Marquez loses tonight, I hope Manny goes on to give Floyd an ass whooping that even Roger would be proud of

    P4P Money Mayweather. Bull****.
