This guy really came through tonight against a tough fighter. Hatton was a legitimate challenger and he just got caught one time too many. No shame in fighting like a warrior. He really impressed me tonight.

His fans however were disrespectful throughout the fight. For a people who have prided themselves in the past on being civilized, they really showed how much they have regressed. Booing during the American national anthem (when they ought the be showing a high level of respect), making useless noise during the fight, and then disrespecting Mayweather with continued noise after the fight. This was embarrassing and to his credit Floyd handled the whole thing with grace and dignity.

The whole spectacle was horrific. God save the Queen from her pathetic subjects in Manchester.

Booing the American national anthem was not cool at all, especially since they are guests here.

and this is new to you? Ever watch a soccer riot during world cup?

Floyd is too smart to start jawing at the british fanbase. I don't care how big his eunterauge is, they would get mobbed.

    LOL@the Brits drinking Bud Lite.

I agree, those booing Brits are poor examples of people and should probably cut down on the high alcohol consumptions...that can't be helping them any.

ive never heard something so disrespectful...i was livid. You don't do that. We don't boo the puerto rican national anthem, etc. It was classless...but justified by the record number of british bets on Hatton that lost a lot of cash. A lot.

Yup Booing the national anthem was pretty lame.

I couldn't understand why they did that, especially since the American crowd were respectful during theirs.

It was nice to hear "U. S. A.!!" chants during one of PBF's ass-kicking moments toward the later stages of the fight. I didn't even care about the USA/England type of rivalry until I heard those idiots booing loudly during the National Anthem.

See, I didn't realize there was a USA/England rivalry. It is as if this was INVENTED tonight during a BOXING match between two INDIVIDUALS who happen to be from different countries. I guess those who made money tonight won't mind this, but boy did this make me root for Floyd tonight!

firstly most Hatton groupies are not boxing fans, they're Hatton fans.

secondly they were proven a long time ago to be a bunch of ignorant ****s....a long time ago.

"but whoever was singing the anthem deserved to be booed. his performance was a disgrace to the anthem."

Whatever, they didn't care who was singing it. They were doing it to be disrespectful. As much as I like Hatton, I was glad their guy got beat. And even after that these idiots showed their true colors by acting like sore losers!
