Combination of good promoting, and good dance partners for Mayweather.

Mayweather is one of the top PPV sellers in boxing, but not nearly as popular as he claims he is.

    Hatton v Mayweath did do a 1mill

it was stated that it was 850k but there were more units unaccounted for.

    Cotto v Mayweather would do 1mil ...

Floyd is a god PPV attraction and one things is Floyd and Hatton did big numberr in the UK and US. I think Floyd had alot to do with the numbers here and HAtton in the UK.

Prior to his fight with Floyd Oscar sold 800K against Mayorga. His highest selling prior to that was against Tito and did 1.2 million. Oscar vs Floyd did well over 2 million. YOu have to give Floyd some credit for that.

only because people tuning in thought that DLH was a legit threat to give Mayweather his first loss.

ALot of people who tune in to watch Floyd are fans but most of them want to see Floyd tested and to see if he will finally lose.

You can also credit 24/7 (floyd's idea) to the added drama for the fight ...

    :good Good post!

We have to mention that neither Oscar nor Hatton done anywhere near those types of numbers before.

I agree 24/7 was a great idea. It def broke the fight into the mainstream. If the delohoya fight wasnt such a snooze then i think the hatton fight would have made alot more. I really hope the rematch doesnt happen.

Oscar didn't bring in all the numbers it takes two to tango. Oscar has never done that many buys with anyone else. PBF is cleary a big draw.

that is b.s. oscar's hi mark was 1.2 against tito. look at what pbf's previous high was, them tell me who was more responsible for those numbers, and who benefitted more from the other fighter.

It takes 2! and Floyd promoted the controversy and hype for both fights. Give this man his credit
