You're like the HBO crew tonight, comparing RJJ to Martinez, means YDKSAB.

Plus, you're also comparing a weight drained James Toney in the fight against RJJ to Mayweather on any given night. :nut

Cotto no way Sergio stuns him early and gets him in back peddle mode

Macklin did good because he gave no openings and didnt attack

however when Macklin fell behind he was forced to be aggressive got desperate got open and the rest is history

Bottom line ...I think Floyd would humiliate martinez.
However Martinez would not humiliate Cotto ...he is lefty as well and can adjust as he did against Judah!

I think we all agree that Cotto is a far better boxer than Martinez. But in that fight, he would be on the losing end of almost all of the physical advantages you could have in a match.

Stamina (Diaz might help w/ this), strength, speed, resiliency to damage. This is not a knock against him. Cotto would do well in the beginning, but along the way Martinez would hit him with something that would put him in straight retreat mode.

Sergio is too big and too good for Cotto, and Floyd would never fight him. I assume the op is clueless on just how good Macklin is.

yeah i agree. i wasnt really thinking about the actual size of Sergio compared to them, i was thinking about skills. anyway, i still say floyd schools. Cotto against serge would probly be a good fight, ill give a slight edge to sergio. but Cotto is a better fighter IMO

No, but he had a hard time with several average southpaws so i cant imagine wat will happen if he fights an above average lefty. Stop nut hugging or u will have the wrath of God upon u

Yeah I didn't get the ridiculous RJJ comparisons. In the past, everyone calling Sergio's fights has pointed out that while he's a good athlete, he doesn't have huge punching power--he's just an extremely smart fighter and knows how to place his punches better than anyone currently in the game and can always turn the fight in his favor.

Tonight, they start with the RJJ comparisons, and don't let it go... RJJ went to **** as soon as he slowed down, as soon as his unparalleled athleticism began to fade. RJJ fought brilliantly thanks to his athleticism, a fleeting thing. Sergio fights brilliantly thanks to his mind, something that has been prime for years now and shows no signs of fading.
