I find myself posting almost exclusivly in the lounge these days. Somehow the fact that this fight isn't made yet is turning me off the sport. There is no other sport in the world where this kind of **** happens. Where the best of the best can avoid each other. **** even in other combat sports like MMA the top fighters always fight each other. It's a disgrace to both fighters and to the sport that this fight hasn't been made yet

blame your hero floyd. the fight's been delayed once already because of his BS.

Remember, he decided to fight Marquez instead of Pac, right after the Hatton fight.

who says floyd is my hero? I was the biggest critic of his decision to fight marquez. I don't really care who's fault it is that the fight isn't getting made. the fact that it's not signed is a black eye to the sport overall

It's simple actually. Just dont open any of the Pac/Floyd threads cuz that's what i do. I seriously dont give a rat's ass if the fight doesn't happen anyways.. INfact i dont want this fight to happen cuz i already know the outcome.

There are so many better fights out there.

Please don't ever bring up mma. It's not really mma it's ufc,and that's called monopoly and they get paid pennies.Mayweather and Pacq make more money in one night than the greatest mma star makes in one year.I hate Don King and I hate Bob Arum and I really really hate Dana White,he is robbing those folks blind. Also Anderson Silva is a real life video game character and the ONLY mma fighter who is truly impressive.

hey hey now, lets be real here. i am a floyd hater, but you have to give the guy credit. (at our expense) through all of these antics, he has managed to generate more hype for this fight and secure the biggest purse in the history of the sport without any promotional company or even signing the contract. wouldn't you want to secure a buttload of money at a job before you even accept the position? like it or not the guy is smart.

it's been dragged out longer than it has to. If floyd isn't carefull the exact opposite is going to happen. Peoplel will lose interest in the fight, manny will retire or lose to someone else and his game will have cost him the biggest payday of his life.

thewoo man i hear your fustrations, it is def a black eye for the sport, but you shouldnt let it turn you off of boxing in general man.

Theres so much going on right now in the depths of boxing that is interesting....

I know you know your boxing so i dont have to tell you all the good stuff that is happening out there or on the verge of exploding.

I dont know man, yes its a complete joke the fight hasnt been made yet, but a boxing fan shouldnt hang their hat on one fight.... the sport is alive and well right now, and while its in its cooled phase, its the cooling phases that set off the firestorm years, and so while 2010 might be mild, 2011 will be one of the best years in recent boxing i think.

I keep hoping the no brainer between May and Pac will happen.... and i do believe it needs to happen, but i hope it doesnt turn more people off of boxing just because it hasnt happened yet when theres so much more to be had.

That being said, thats why both of these fighters continue to go down in my book.... crap like this, which is both of their faults, is the type of stuff that hurt this sport :-(

    Just IMO

although i agree that its shameful tat they way this is going about brings a black eye to the sport i honestly believe ONCE it is made....the fight will overshadow the many months of bullshyt because the fight is still bigger than anything they can argue over.

but i do agree...the antics on display now brings a negative light to the sport and to be honest as big a fan i am of Floyd the boxer.....i hate the selfish mentality that he has because its the reason why evne though his idea is a frutiful idea it still has been done for selfish reasons and causing rife throughout boxing and the attention that boxing gets.

I think Floyd is an ass hole just for putting the fans through this BS. Call him smart...whatever...but at the end of the day, he's gonna be the ones taking our money.

It sucks but it is what it is.

And I agree with you, the floyd-Pac fans going back and forth is f'n BS. I just wish there were more big fights up ahead like every 3 weeks during the summer to get our minds off this stuff.

    No, its stupid.

The fight was at his biggest hype right after Pac demolished Cotto.... it was everywhere on ESPN, people were talking about it on NBA shows even, it was a fight for the first time in a long time, mainstream truely WANTED to see, not just interested in, WANTED to see.

The fight is not any bigger now then when it was **** hot after Pac beat Cotto. Its gotten to the point now that people are getting fed up with it and its allowed plenty of journalist and media people to look down once again on boxing for the fact it hasnt been made yet.

This **** is bad for the sport. Stupid contractual disputes slow matchmaking. Slower matchmaking makes for less frequent fights. Less frequent fights make for worse fighters. Which makes for worse boxing.

Don't praise him for that ****, if you have to praise the man.
