I've said this before and I'll say it again, fight night weight is irrelevant. Sam Soliman weighed 158lbs on fight night against Winky Wright - do you think he could make light-middleweight? What about DLH against Pacquiao, how much weight did he put on on fight night? About 2lbs. Yet he was as drained as ****.

As I've said, fight night weight means **** all. I made my point, and no-one has said anything to contradict it yet.

 

I can completely understand people criticising Mayweather for fighting a smaller fighter. However, how can you criticise him for not fighting guys like Cotto or Mosley after being out of action for 18 months?(let's just ignore the fact that Cotto isn't even available). Wouldn't you all be criticising Mayweather if Cotto or Mosley were out of action for 18 months and then Floyd fought them in their first fight back?

 

how the hell would i know what floyd would do? Floyd came out of retirement saying there is a gozilla fight with pac so i figure JMM for tune up and pac for big big money. If i were to guess if hatton upsets pac that he either continue his tune up with JMM and either fight Hatton again in England for 20,000 fans or fight Mosely.

I agree with this. It's the fact he's fighting a smaller fighter to annoys me, not the fact he isn't immediately fighting Cotto or Mosley. He needs a tune-up.

 

people should make one thing clear. JMM is p4p no2, and pac is p4p no1, and mosely is no3. floyd express interest to fight all 3. Cotto and paul is closer to the bottom of the barrel and doesn't generate as much money not to mention arum is scare to pit cotto to floyd.
