If you saw Buboy train Concepcion last Saturday, you can rest assured that Pac doesn't need Roach and he's got a capable backup in Buboy.:smoke

I'm with you one the first one, but Floyd will make a point to not let Arum dictate the bout.

On the second one not so much. That would put his taxable income to about the $140 million mark. That will result in a huge bill to the IRS. By splitting it into two years, he defers some of his payment. This will be helpful considering PPV money doesn't all come in at once, it trickles in over several months.

For the third one, would Pac fight without Roach?

I think in Pac's case the coach is more than just F. Roach, Pac's success is a combination of of Roach's team, if Roach is gone (Freddy alone) I don't think it would make or break him, affect him yes, also taken into account ALL of the boxers Freddy is currently training, how spread thin do you think he is? How much time is he actually there with Pac anyways....I am not talking about the Full camp, I am talking Roach and Pac time???.....

Where as Roger, is there not only has his trainer/coach but as his family.....Have you ever heard Roger talk to Floyd in the corner?? Its usually just "You got that muth****er!" or "That mother****a aint got ****" or "Keep doing what you doing." I can do that **** :hey

Roach made Pac. Roach knows fighters like the back of his hand. Floyd can rely on Mayweather Sr. if Roger can't train him. Floyd is his own man, unlike Pac. Pac wouldn't be where he is without Roach.

Floyd's been delaying this fight from happening and obviously Pac(Roach) wants to explore other options if Floyd keeps taking his time. This fight should've been made the 1st time and I blamed Pac for that one. This time the ball is in Floyd's court. If he wants the fight it's his.

I don't think Floyd wants his dad in his corner. They will end up not talking again.

Dude, be real, Floyd has made like $40 million, tops, in his entire career. His income for any one year is NOT $140 million. Not even close, not even with this fight, if it ever comes off.

And, yes, I do think Pacquiao would fight without Roach, which is what separates him from Floyd.

Between Floyds last 2 fights he's earned $65 million ($25 for JMM and $40 against SSM). He is projected to take home about $70 mill for the Pac fight.

Its looking like Mayweather doesn't want to fight anyone for a year, and if they do fight then it will be in 2011.

Meanwhile Pac will battle Margarito, it will mark his 10th fight since Nov of 2006, in that same span Mayweather has only fought 5 times...that's all I know...one guy likes to fight while the other is interested in business ventures.

That would be like NeckBreakinAiken training Paul Williams for his biggest fight ever.

    Good post.

Another something I'd throw in there though is this thing he's got going on with 50 cent. He mentioned in an earlier interview that he was going to use "the biggest fight in the history of the sport," to promote the release of the album. I think his signature could well be based on this albums anticipated release date. This could also help to explain his silence, he might be sorting this album out behind the scenes.

    Thoughts...?

Good post, this fight is better for Floyd if it happens next year. I just don't understand what the hell Arum is doing. Why is he shoving these fights that we do not want to see down our throats? Pacquiao Clottey really? Pacquiao Margarito is intriguing but come on, the dude cant even get a license. And Cotto is my boy but seriously? Cotto Pacquiao again? Give me a break. . .
