    Sometimes staying away means reserving your health and your dignity.
    Having a young hard hitting lion beat the shell of you into oblivion is not something that you want to be remembered by. Here is a list of guys who should have stepped back in the ring to be destroyed:

    Ray Robinson
    Ray Leonard
    Larry Holmes
    Muhammad Ali
    Shane Mosley
    James Toney (can't even win a 3 round fight now)

    The only 2 fighters I want to see unretire and fight each other is Calzaghe and Froch. And as soon as the fight is over retire again.

    Some guys just can't hang it up; the money calls and they answer. Or maybe they just love it and can't admit or see that they're done until it's too late.

    Roy's is without a doubt the most upsetting. Had he stayed retired after Ruiz he would have gone down as one of the absolute all time greats. But instead he cut weight to fight Tarver, looked like **** in victory. Got dropped in the rematch. Got dropped vs Glenn Johnson. Got dropped by so many C-level fighters its tarnished his damn legacy.

    But he NEVER rematched Jones and for a good reason. Some guys have your number.
