Mike Tyson was excusable because of his obviously unstable background and the humor he provided and was considered a phenom for his knockout ability, and Ali never really disrespected anyone except for maybe Frazier, and used his publicity to promote social justice. Neither disrespected a better fighter than them in person like Floyd did to the legend of Sugar Ray Leonard. Mayweather will be remembered for his skills WITHOUT A DOUBT, but his mouth is hardly something people will appreciate. His materialistic and disrespectful attitude do not match well with the reputation of a ducker or cherrypicker, which is believed by many to be the case to at least some extent. .. In any case, Khan does need some experience before challenging someone like Floyd, but it's all irrelevant; 2011 we want to see Pacquiao-Floyd.
And IF the guy decides to fight again it will sell out again because he has a Brand, and you'l see Magic Johnson tall ass standing in front of people and Toby Keith cowboy hat and my drunk ass try to sneak into the 1500 seats cause to see the undercard and fat ass Dan bloging about how Mayweather is a dick and this time he has met his match in Amir Khan who would be about 25 by then. we know how this tv show goes
Ali disrespected people far worse than Mayweather and Leonard bullshitting around. Ali called Joe Louis and Jackie Robinson "Uncle Toms" for crying out loud. Fortunately for Ali, many years have passed since all the things he said, and for his trash talk, Ali has charisma and humor. Floyd does not. He thinks he is funny, but he rarely is. Being an ******* is one thing, that's nothing new for athletes (Carmen Basilio was still talking **** about what a dickhead Ray Robinson was years after Ray died), but Mayweather hasn't given the fans enough fights that we want to see. That's what matters the most to me. Since the end of 2007, he's given us ONE fight that we wanted to see, in a loaded division.
Top 5 things people will say if Mayweather fights Khan. 1. Floyd's picking on inexperienced fighters. Khan doesn't belong in the ring with Floyd at this stage of his career. 2. Floyd's forcing another fighter in a smaller weight class to come up. (Even though Amir is 5'11) (And Floyd haters don't point out to me that taller and bigger are two different things. This I know already.) 3. Amir Khan's chin was never really that good anyway. 4. The added weight and blood test drained Khan. 5. Why the hell won't he fight Pacquiao. (Duh, cause he won't say on paper that he will take the blood test lol) It's always gonna be a lose/lose situation for Mayweather. And I'm glad he's smart enough to realize this. That and the fact that he can't and WON'T please everyone. Especially at this stage in his career where some of you have such a deep (and ridiculous lol) hatred for him. So good for him if he says **** off to everybody else and does what he wants. Who gives a **** about an atg list anyways? I know if I where in his shoes, in my million dollar mansion, and my family and friends loved and respected me, and didn't have to work for the next few generations because of my hardwork. I could care less what you write about me, read about me, or say about me. I bet if Mayweather asked anybody on ESPN who called him a coward one question: "Can you beat my ass?" I'd bet they'd all shut the **** up lol. Floyd's probably chilling "lol" somewhere.
Floyd gets flack for his choice of opposition, sometimes fair, sometimes not. In this case, it would be totally fair. It's a terrible matchup, and just goes to show you how people get so excited over speed and not actual skill. Khan has just one of them, and Mayweather has both.
i don't see why people dont like **** talkers floyd mayweahter talks that **** and i love every minute of it. right now its mayweather's world and i think that is what really makes people mad. right now he reminds me of russell crowe in the gladiator. he gose out puts a massive ass whooping on his oppent and give a middle finger to the establishment be it the media critis and/or haters.after seeing how other stars of boxing were treated i am glad that we got some on who wont let the world define him but instead redfine the world. love him or hate him in boxing you need him no matter how much people try to convince them selfs that the career will be ok with out him.
There is big difference between Tyson, Ali, and Mayweather. Tyson and Ali can back up his talk Mayweather can't. Not to mention Tyson had some psychological problems before.
WHAT DID I SAY, MAYWEATHER MAKING A MOVE Step up Pacquiao you know you don't wanna take a chance with Mosley or Marquez watch what happens next *******s you are in for a big surprise, i can tell you pacatards are scared too, i cant ****ing wait
mayweather telling it like it is, translation for the lames who get all sad when mayweather speaks.kahn is talented but im god gifted theres is a difference.let him win a few more fights and then come see me. ok i would not mind kahn and mayweather only in the uk though.kahn is fast but can he think fast ? is he really ready for the high speed chess mayweather plays in the ring ? i dout it but should be fun to watch none the less. mayweather top 3 guys to fight should be 1.manny 2.berto 3.kahn
I'd be happy for Mayweather to go through Khan and Pacman but it would have to be in 2011...for both fights. Which isn't going to happen.
