Mayweather wanted Olympic-style random drug tests to be performed on the fighters. These require blood to be taken as opposed to the standard urine tests that usually go on. The Pacmans team said they had no intention of allowing this and have come up with a few reasons. I first heard that Manny is scared of needles. Now I can understand that; Im scared too! Then I heard it was because they wouldnt bow down to Mayweathers rules. Freddie Roach has stated that he wont allow his boxer to give blood within 30 days of the fight, saying that it will affect his preparation for the fight.

Many people are saying that its Mayweathers way of backing out of the fight, that hes running scared. Bob Arum, who used to promote Floyd, feels the Mayweather camp have never fancied the fight and that with each contest Manny has had, hes frightened Mayweather off even more.

I dont buy into that. I feel Mayweather knows this will be a potentially tough fight, he is a student of the game and knows Mannys style inside out. I feel they just want a level playing field going into that ring.

There have been rumours about Pacquiao for a while. Not so much steroid rumours, but more in the line of growth hormone boosters. I personally have been told this by Americans in the business so if Ive heard the rumours, then Mayweather and his team, especially the vocal, all-knowing Floyd Snr, definitely has. Now rumours are usually just that, rumours started and spread by people who are jealous of someone elses success. In this case, I think they were started the same way.

When Mayweather Snr made an off-the-cuff remark about this supposed illegal substance use, we all thought the same, that Snr had overstepped the mark this time and he was out of order with making such a claim.

But here is my problem with the whole mess. By Manny, Freddie Roach and Bob Arum all reacting like they have, jumping up and down and making counter-claims and refusing to take the tests in such an aggressive manner, I feel they have made an issue out of this. Now Im not for one minute saying he IS guilty of doing anything wrong, Manny has never in his entire career failed a drug test. But why the big refusal? They have not given one reason important enough for me to think they are right in not taking the test. If Usain Bolt was refusing to take a random drug test how would the world feel about him?

Going back to the tests, the reason Team Mayweather want the blood test is because they are suspicious of Growth Hormone being used. Not steroids. Growth Hormone shows up only in blood tests, not urine tests. Thats why a urine test isnt suitable as far as they are concerned.

I heard the Paquaio camp stated that they would have taken the test if given the date and if it was at a suitable time so it doesnt interfere with their schedule. Thats not random testing! Random testing, like all Olympic athletes are subject to, can occur at any time; I believe footballers are subject to the same process. If its okay for them then I believe it should be used in boxing also. If you have nothing to hide then, so what?

I think for his reputations sake, the fantastic Pac-man should have taken the test. Its something that could now follow him throughout his career, tarnishing his legacy in many peoples eyes.

To me its simple. If youre not cheating, you could have taken the test and if youd gone on to beat Mayweather you could have laughed in his face for his accusations. Oh and you could still file the lawsuit.

You clearly don't know what you are talking about. HGH has not been detected in blood. USADA acknowledges this and developed a URINE test to detect HGH, check it out the internet is free lol

Whats the dea??. We heard Schaefer claim they were open to negotiating a cut-off date but we never heard which cut-off date they were willing to accept.
