If Mayweather beats Canelo, should he try to move up to MW and fight Martinez for the title? Who should he fight at 160?

no way....160 istoo far above his natural weight... he'll be fresh picking for even bums at 160. he should stay at 147-154 area.

back in the day of same day weigh ins it would have been possible but these days fighters are hydrating close to 20lb's ... mayweather choses to fight at his fit walk around weight, the positives of this include never having to worry about making weight so he can focus on training aswell as getting fit. it also puts less strain on the body (especially with floyd staying fit all year)

he cant even make it to 154 on fight night ... at 160 god knows how much they would outweigh him but it would be pathetic..

It would be interesting to see, but we likely won't.

...but who knows? From the frequency of bouts to his opponent choices, Floyd is showing his balls (no homo) with this Showtime contract. Maybe the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is a middleweight title bid upon reaching free agency, which he will tease along the way and be able to negotiate crazy $ for.

Sure, why not? Martinez is obviously getting a little past it, just go up, fight Sergio to build more legacy and then come back down to '47. Mayweather has the ability to win that fight.

He shouldn't move to 160. 147 is just fine, even the 154 guys are bigger than him. It would be great for his legacy for sure, but the risk is too high. I don't see him beating Sergio at 160.

I think he should drop back down to 147 after Canelo and only make the trip back up to 154 as he has throughout his career; when the perfect money and legacy opportunity knocks from a JMW fighter.

Some people make Martinez out to be some Giant against Floyd. But I bet if you mesure their wingspan while gloved, they are close. Floyd uses Grant gloves and when gloved he uses a lot of tape and gauze and lets them dangle. Sergio is what 2 inches taller? I think it would be a fair fight. Floyd has the youth advantage. And Martinez had to spend himself against cruiserweight Chavez. Hes a bit shopworn. :(

What Mayweathers concern when it comes to Martinez is not size. Its Martniez style and how he moves. Floyds been fight some robot leg guys in the mean time. Styles make fights and Martinez has the stamina and movement to give Mayweather his toughest fight. It will be Craft Supremo!!!
