Wait, some of you STILL try and reason with idiots like Lance? Dude went on my ignore list years ago. Having an actual discussion about boxing around here is impossible with any *******.* In terms of the Floyd/Baldo fight, anyone who knows **** about boxing knows that it was not an exciting fight. People left early etc etc, but the performance was still brilliant. Anyone who equates excitement with boxing skill is ******ed (pejevan), but Floyd dominated a solid and much larger fighter in almost every way possible. On the inside, out, against the ropes, you name it, he did it. Only a *hater would say this fight was anything but a boxing showcase, whether exciting or not.*
There you are again with your reading comprehension problem!!!!!! Did It say it was not skillful? Are *****s always this dumb? Ijsut said there is no gem in it! He was fighting a vastly overmatched opponent and yet you *****s still can find ways to see it as a gem? I guess tiger woods agreed with you!!!! Calling it how it is.When did Gayweather ever fought without a skill? But there is also an entertainment aspect to it. Afterall, opnly a few wants (*****s) to see two men who are fighting running from each other.
right, it was skillful. It was also playful. And Baldy was an absurd comic foil, huffing and puffing, and swinging at air and arms. Each round Floyd decides he's going to fight in a different style. And there's Baldy charging after him, frowning, blustering, missing. Now, find the video, turn the sound down and watch what Floyd is up to. Enjoy the skill. Enjoy the performance. Try and appreciate something brilliant, it will be good for your soul, Farmboxer.
Mr high iq, you're looking like a dip**** yet again. Time to hang them up here at esb my friend. Pathetic display in this thread.

He wasn't a physical WW at that point, not by any means. He had real switness of foot which he used to his advantage. Now he appears to of lost part of that spring in his step so has adjusted by turning himself into a much more physical athlete. IMO.
atsch Try reading *******. You're agreeing with my premise clown. You're just another bitter dickhead.
I'm not disputing that he was on a win streak. I'm talking about the quality of op it was against compared to whom was in the W top 10 at the time. It's not going to kill you to say Baldomir was not only a poor excuse for a #1 contender, but a VERY weak linear champ.
yeah that's the same way how I see it too. I think Floyd as also just trying to outpoint him here because of hise hand issues
I loved that fight, a mismatch in terms of overall ability but a boxing master-class. If anyone who enjoyed that wants to see an even better defensive performance watch this fight.. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNiBTuTj3Jc[/ame]
That's your own personal opion, one that it isn't backed up by much. To get a mandatory shot for a WBC title, you have to beat highly ranked WBC contenders. That's what Baldomir did. Furthermore, the division wasn't even that deep back then. So it's not like there were many high profile options for him anyway(not like any would bother with him at that point regardless). It's not going to kill you to admit that you're wrong, and that the guy actually went through the proper steps to get his title shot.
I have major respect for Baldomir he lost and lost clearly but he kept coming he kept trying and he never seemed to quit or doubt himself reminded me of Castillo but just had nowhere near the same kind of effectiveness he reminded me of Castillo in the sense that he never stopped and that he could take Floyds best shot and keep coming if Baldomir was just faster or a bit more polished he would have been a real problem as he just kept coming
I feel so sorry for Baldomir. He tried so hard and was just simply outclassed by a better fighter. I can't exactly slight Baldomir for a lack of effort. It's just his best was nowhere close to good enough. I guess that's life.
