I love how people say "Shane can't out box Floyd" Really??? Holy **** stop the press!!! NO ****!!! Does anybody really think that Nazim & Mosleys game plan is going to be try to out box Floyd? C'mon man, I hope you guys are smarter than that. Mosley is going to make this a rough ugly fight, not some chess match with the best chess player in the word.
Good point, but to make it rough you gotta be within distance and I think Floyd will pick him off as he's coming in. I dont find Mosleys footwork that good, especially at closing the range. Side to side he's quite slick, but not coming forward against a defensive minded opponent. Floyd way underated inside too. The guy is lethal up close. I can see him working Mosleys body big time, and tiring him out quickly, around the 7th/8th, then go to work at the stretch to finish it.
Mosley fights one way ,he does not adept well, that is why it will be difficult for him to compete with Mayweather.Mosley has speed, power, can take punishment, but IMO he will have trouble timing Floyd,Mayweather will jab more than usual & hit Shane with straight rights all night.Look at Mosleys fight with Vernon Forrest. Don`t think it will be easy for Mayweather but UD will be convincing..
if the sugar shane turns up what did against margarito then it will be explosive but for me floyd points win.
BS Big Time! Floyd doesn't have the balls to stand up and fight against Shane like Vernon, Winky, Hoya and Cotto did. Mayweather splits his legs, spread'em wide, jab, jab and move on the back foot, sure he has reflexes and that's why he sneaks in with a scoring right ( not a damaging punch) or a check leading left hook on fast footwork back and forward again... But that's all there is to it - Floyd has to put on a performance like ahainst Phillip Time Bomb NDou with his cobra styled attacks and repeating right whipping shots to make Shane back off a lil. Shane will be jabbing in there, combo punching fast enough, overpowering the defensive Mayweather and making him retreat with solid left hooks, short rights and long punches. It's Mayweather lookin for Shane to wind up in the second part of the fight to c'mon just like against Judah whom he called a front-runner and against Hoya who slowed down at mid-stage. If you expect a old ( special) man to get winded up, you may lose the train and not get it on the nearest station.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfpybbJF4wU[/ame] Peep this. The best bits from the Mosley-Cotto fight. Look at Shanes legs after the 2nd round, he doesn't have any. Look at his square on stance, and look at his strategy. He better get Floyd outta there sharpish or he's getting an ass whoopin. Look at Cotto's jab and lead right hand. Look at Mosleys pawing jab that will get countered. Look at Mosleys most effective shots. The right to the stomach and that looping right hand he constantly throws. None of them land on Floyd, the elbow blocks the stomach with right uppercut counter, and that looping shot is telegraphed. So please don't insult my intelligence by telling me Floyd can't stop him. Body, body, body and he'll be a sitting duck after 4 rounds. SnR
^ nice comments! mosley is fraction of his old self! Sure he has a great resume but at this stage of his career i don't think he can beat a class A fighter. pbf is expected to win this fight! Similar to calzaghe's win over RJJ and bhop! Shane at 38 yrs old is defenitely a far cry from the shane mosley at 30! A win is a win but winning over a great boxer in his tail end of career decreases the credit!
