We know you will buy Floyd's stool sample if the price was right and please don't ever insult MJ by comparing him to Floyd. But since you are who was Jordan's Bird ? Gurrero ? Maidana Gatti
This sucks, 2 absolute jokes of a PPV first we get GGG/Lemieux(unless the cards are stacked with non-mismatches, and now Floyd). Bad for the sport of boxing, both of these should be free fights.
I 'could' download 315GB of music for free and stream any sport for free at no price. Games too if they were my thing.
Ha ha, nice attepmt to save face. Bringing up GGG's unification slugfest against a feared power puncher isn't gonna deflect from your heroes farce fight
Attempt to save face? The fight would be perfectly fine since he's unifying, but not on PPV, it's an absolute joke for PPV. Lemieux has done nothing. I understand GGG wants to unify and he has every right to fight him without criticism, but on free tv. Wins over a Rosado on a 10 lose streak, and Quillin's leftovers whose best win is Curtis Stevens atsch gets you on PPV huh?
You know, there is a difference here, Floyd is the P4P number 1 fighter in the world coming off beating the number 2 P4P fighter in the world, and he follows that match up by fighting the man who was beaten by Ortiz and Guerrero two of his previous victims whose big recent is a bull**** KO stoppage of Josesito Lopez who Maidana and Canelo had already thoroughly destroyed. People have high expectations with Floyd matches. And then there's GGG whose never headlined a PPV who's just becoming a big star and HBO wants to test the waters with him with a good opponent with some decent wins lately, who should make for a very fan friendly fight, in order to build to bigger better PPV's in the future like say Canelo-GGG or Cotto-GGG. Big difference.
The difference also is that Floyd is 38, nearly 40, and before you bring up the Bhop theory which another poster did, you should realize he's fought Enrique Ornelius, and soft touches like that too. He's also came off fighting the p4p #2, and one of the biggest PPV, GGG's last fight was Willie Monroe. Also whether you think it was a BS stoppage or not, Berto was going to stop him, he dropped him literally seconds after the first time with a shot to the temple. Josesito was done, once I think it was Bayless stopped letting Josesito foul by grabbing and hitting(guerrero tactic), Josesito looked lost in there which contributed to Berto having more success. Lemieux isn't a very good opponent. Wins over Rosado on a 100 lose streak, and Quillin's leftovers whose best win is Stevens isn't a great win. I don't care if you're a fan boy of his, but he's done nothing to prove that he's a very good opponent. Bottom line is both of these fights are jokes for PPV, and both should be on free TV. It's just funny hwo people cry about his style and act like he's the most boring boxer ever, but they go on an absolute crying ***** fit when he fights Berto. I dont understand why they'd watch Floyd if they hated his style so much and if they didnt why'd they care so much about a nearly 40 year old boxer. Also no matter who he fought they would have criticized it. You know this is true, the haters are partially to blame for why he's fighting Berto. If he fought Thurman people liek you would say he looked terrible against Collazo, if he fought Brook then people would say Brook has beat nobodies etc. And to make my point clear, no i dont wnat to see him fight Berto, but what I'm saying is true.
Agreed This fight really is dog ****. But sigh, I'll probably pay or go to the Stevenson fight. I have to pick one. You help me pick
Floyd is the number one PPV Box Office Draw of all time ending his Showtime contract and possibly career with the worst cherry pick in recent memory. Golovkin isn't quite an established star yet, he shouldn't be held to the same standard, and he's fighting someone with one more KO than he has, with serious power who could hurt him, and before you say, "he was KO'd by Rubio"...he was 22 against a guy with more KO's than GGG has overall matches who rabbit puched him, Manny Pacquiao was KO'd twice at 19 and 20 and was coming off one of the most devastating KO losses in recent memory when he fought Floyd.:confShould that be held against Floyd picking Manny?
