Disagree. Oscars star power>>>>>>>Canelos star power. How many buys did Canelo-Angulo get again? 300k?? Hold your horses.

True, but Canelo/Cotto winner becomes exponentially more popular and then the Canelo/GGG winner becomes exponentially more popular on top of that.

How many PPV buys do you think Canelo/Cotto will do?

If it does a mill, and Canelo fights GGG next, that fight wont do as much forsure. Mexico/Puerto Rico always draws good numbers and hype, and Cotto is an established star.

GGG vs. the winner of Canelo/Cotto isn't going to sell what Canelo/Cotto will though. That's what you're missing

I think you under estimate how much ESPN will hype this fight.

We'll see. I think Canelo/GGG does about the same or more.

I think you're overestimating the influence ESPN has on the PPV boxing market.

Oh no, I don't think at all. They had HUGE influence over the May/Pac fight. ESPN can be one of the biggest influences, imo. Their voices reach about 100 million homes...

But this is all subjective. We can't make a good enough opinion over GGG/Canelo projected buys. We have to see what GGG/Lemieux and Canelo/Cotto does first.

The supposed ATG & TBE holds his supposed last fight ever!! And it BOMBS!!! ROFL People are not sad he's retiring ,they're glad to see the back of him. He single handedly set boxing back 20 years. By cheating the way he did throughout his career means he'll just be regarded as a talented wannabee & a coward
