The only "Ali" Floyd better be comparing himself to is Leila Ali. In which case, yes, Floyd is better than Ali. But not by much, because Leila has the "0" too!
He keeps saying it hoping eventually it gets planted in the *****s mind. They say if you throw enough ****, some of it will stick on the wall.
It is really ridiculous for people to even debate this, floyd fights cowardly while ali boxes beautifully, ali has been in a lot of wars, overcome obstacles and has a great heart, and is a larger than life kind of guy with more charisma in his toe than floyd will ever have, despite him trying so hard. He is a talented boxer that fights for money and not for legacy. Ali is light years ahead of floyd and he need to accomplish much more before he talks like that. I think you (or a Floyd fan) could make the case that he is as talented as Ali. But he certainly doesn't have his heart, guts, brains or ambition.
....and they also say : "If you repeat certain lies often enough, no matter how big they are, they'll eventually be considered truth."
and if Leila and Floyd got together and made a baby that would be as good as when MJ married a Lisa Marie on topic , Floyd is better than M. Ali at defense and not getting hit.
Agreed, Floyds definately more complete than Ali was . Ali rarely punched to the body and as he got older took a lot of punishment. Floyds the better fighter, Ali did more( fought in 3 different decades):yep
I am a Floyd fan and while I would agree he may be more gifted I think only Ali was among the greatest being involved in more superfights, better regular opposition and issues out of the ring over many years. He was many times underestimated and he rose to the challenges.
