Mayweather bigger than Kobe

Floyd works hard and is a clean athlete.
But whilst he does set an example in how he trains
and competes, he does let himself down in other areas.

But, then again, Kobe has had dramas, it probably just adds to
more ppl showing interest in them - and in turn becoming
fans of their talent.

kobe is bigger because he is 6'6"...lol. seriously, no one is bigger than any sport. there will always new stars that will rise and shine. nba basketball did not die when michael jordan retired nor boxing when fmj took a hiatus. just enjoy them while they are here because they will soon fade away.

lets see , kobe plays about 164 games every 2 years and floyd fights about 1 or 2 times at best in that time frame. floyd is bigger on this board...hes a living legend on ESB...Kobe is mainstream more popular and his team always ends up playing the best in the finals which he has 4 or 5 championships...where as floyd ducks the best when he picks up a belt from the 3rd or 4th belt holder in the division.....can you imagine if the lakes got to the finals against the celtics and they sais " ummm no thanks....we want to play the memphis grizzlies instead.......

 

kobe even plays with his injuries..knee and finger.

 

Kobe is a bigger star than Mayweather. The NBA is a much more mainstream sport and guys like Kobe and Shaq and Lebron and Wade are the top guys.

floyd is a poster child for boxing but he's pissing on that by not fighting pacman.

boxing only hits mainstream a handful of times a year..at best.

people stop and listen when it happens, but it's rare.

and floyd is biting the hand that feeds him out of greed by not fighting pac.

 

It's possible to make more money as an athlete and not be as popular as another athlete who makes less. Boxing is just set up in a way that if you are one of the top draws, PPV will make you very very rich.

On a global scale, Kobe's popularity eclipses Floyd's popularity. Not every country watches pro boxing while basketball is the second most popular team sport in the world after soccer.

 

I have to see them stand next to eachother first, but I think Kobe is slightly bigger :think
