Looks like he's having some problems with his hand or something.

    Maybe it's someone else's blood?

Or maybe it's not even blood. Paint or something.

Whatever it is, I doubt it's his own blood coming from his hands. Unless someone's stabbed him in the hand, the wraps are too thick for it seap out like that, surely?

looks like the leather from the inside of his gloves, same thing happens to me after a long session on the bag, notice how it just looks faded on one knuckle the colour leaks

    It's the dye off gloves.

Doubt it's blood, if it was then Garcia should be fired, because the first thing they should do is treat the wounds eradicating the possibility of infection.

Maybe he got Baldomir as a sparring partner to prepare for Ortiz and busted his hands on his face

Yeah, that's true. Aside from that, you'd need to bleed a massive amount for it to reach the top layer and be visible, and if you bled that much, it wouldn't be concentrated in one area, it'd be spread out all over the hand. Plus, you'd need to bleed for a long time which means your blood isn't clotting and therefore, you wouldn't be fit to fight.

This. You can see it's made from press/smudge marks.
