How long have these guys known each other? this big bro/little bro stuff I have only heard of in the last 12 months, have they been friends long? Or is this just pre promotion for a fight as they have both started to take little digs at each other in recent interviews?
They have only been friends for a short time. I don't know why such a short, superficial friendship should mean you don't want to fight the best fighter in the sport. Broner should be begging for that opportunity. I understand that the K bros don't want to fight each other. They are family and close as well. This bull**** excuse doesn't fly with me when it comes to Broner and Mayweather. If Broner wants to prove he is great then he should be gunning for Floyd.
So they have only been friends for a short time, yet he considers Floyd his big brother? What makes him a big brother other then the fact that they act the same, talk the same, and fight the same? So let me get this straight, if Garcia decides to fight Judah again, he's ducking Matthysse, but Broner isn't ducking Mayweather because he says he's his big brother? :nut
Haha all valid points. They don't fight the sane tho. Broner doesn't ROLL the punches he just gets ****ing punched in the shoulder :rofl
I think Al Haymon is trying to do the whole buddy buddy thing here but you can tell Mayweather is rather bothered by it by his comments on hand picking, and Broner being flat footed... I think Al wants Floyd fans to follow Broner... but I expect these two to bump heads very soon.
Broners only young and hes looked up to Floyd as his idol. He trys to be like him. He's a fan who obviously rates him and wants him to retire with the 0. If he fights him and wins he would of took his heroes 0 off him and if he loses he loses his 0. If he loses his 0 he will have to change his c*ckey attiude and he will lose so much money. I think what hes doing is great for him, but for the fans its bad as that would be a great fight.
Broner used to come across as almost creepy in his obsession with Mayweather. Now he says stuff like this, though: 'My big brother got his legacy, I got mine. I want to see him retire undefeated. I dont want to hand him a loss.' http://www.boxingnews24.com/2013/06/broner-i-dont-want-to-give-mayweather-a-loss/
Imagine you are a boxer, now imagine you are friends with your favorite boxer who at the time is the best figher in the world, hence big brother.. He looks up to him as a big brother and are somewhat friends not too hard to figure it out..
They've become good friends. They're both originally from the midwest, have loud personalities and seemingly get along well. Things could change over time, Floyd was also very close with 50 cent and everyone knows what happened there. Truthfully, Broner should just stay on Floyd's good graces. There's absolutely nothing that Broner does better than FLoyd in the ring. If they were to meet, I'd expect a wipeout UD for FLoyd. It wouldn't be competitive at all.
