I was thinking the exact same thing..when canelo gets hit you can tell he then likes to get back at his opponent and land some bigger shots. When he realises floyds too quick on his feet to get to it'l start frustrating him and he'l start losing his defence slightly.. from this point onwards floyd will dominate. It wil be competitive for 3 rounds, after that floyd will start to pick him apart.

Gotta disagree, i think floyd struggles in this fight if he's just throwing one shot at a time. Canelo ain't no guerrero and will adapt to be able to counter floyds movements after he's landed his one shot..

No ****** I said Floyd needs to fight Canelo the way he did Gatti. Din't compare Canelo to Gatti or any of that. :patsch

Agreed, i mean look at the trout fight. He gassed out and it wasn't even asif he went full out for 6 rounds or anything, he fought at a slow pace and still got very tired... fairly odd.

Yeah and when Floyd throws that one shot at a time Canelo will swing away and even if he misses or hits gloves he will appear more active and the crowd will go crazy and sway the judges to give him rounds. :patsch

Why do you think Sr said Floyd will be throwing more punches this fight than he has in a long time? Remember Sr is the more defensive minded guy while Roger was all about offense?

He doesn't get hit with combos because like i said, as soon as one punch lands he'l shell up and never takes his eyes off his opponent. I mean even if he did 'let his hands go'.. then got caught with a shot he'd shell up and not get hit with more than 2 punches...

Yes i called you a ******. its not just about the punches when I said he needs to fight in that manner. Its about the movement, the foot work etc. Canelo can't punch well while moving. He likes to plant those feet and fire those bombs. Floyd sticks him with that jab to the gut it will help create distance and compare that with his foot work Floyd controls the range where he can fire a few shots and be out of there. Also Floyd sees well with his eyes and will not sacrifice his defensive responsibility even when letting his hands go. Also that shell works better against an orthodox bc he has the angle. Now you log off.

Didn't gatti weight 10-15lbs more than floyd fight night? Wasn't he in the same scenario vs gatti.. being countered by the bigger stronger man. (Don't get me wrong i know alvarez is way better at countering the gatti but he was still at the same risk)

Ofcourse, but i don't calss pot shotting as 'being the better boxer' i just can't imagine canelo being stupid enough to allow floyd to pot shot him for 12 rounds and win easily....

Floyds hook to the body and his straight jab body shot will be big punches in this fight i feel.. will canelo be able to find a way to counter these so floyd stops throwing them... we'l see.

Like I told him before there is a reason why Sr said Floyd will be throwing more punches in this fight than he has in a long time.

Floyd can get his off first. Dude must think Floyd will just throw tons of punches just to throw them. When he puts those shots together it will be at the right time. Floyd can't pot shot this kid all night bc he will lose a decision if he does.

    personally i can't see it.

it will be too dangerous to exchange with canelo.

i think it will be more pot shotting landing individual shots then moving out the way like Rigo against donaire or floyd against Mosley or Oskee.

Canelo is levels above Gatti and I said that in my opening post. Why do you think Sr said Floyd will be throwing more punches this fight than he has in a long time??

No I am not at all. I expect Canelo to bring it but Floyd is going to let them hands go this fight. Canelo will respond back but Floyd wont be there.
