    IMO if Cotto-Canelo does 900k it's a success.

i dont think it will go down to a choice. they could show both, just on different channels.

the choice will be on the customers, which one they will order.

This is also true. If they both do a fight, the carriers will whine, complain, moan and bellyache... but they will probably still carry both.

Regardless which PPV sales more, they won't share a date. Canelo-Cotto could do 800k alone, but on the same date as Floyd, it could do 600k. Same with Floyd, he could do 900k, but only pull 400k competing with Cotto-Canelo. Neither side will fight on the same date unless they're on the same card. Promoters will lose too much money, NOBODY wins from this. This is GBP and TMT flexing their muscles, and I think GBP will win.

Only Floyd's promoter will lose money....he's an over paid boxer.

Did you not read what I said? BOTH fights are not maximizing profit by fighting on the same date. Look at it objectively for a change. This is a bad move for either promoter, it's also a power move.

What the hell is Floyd talking about?? It doesn't matter where they are fighting, two televised fights between two PPV draws in the same weekend is moronic and counter-productive.

The PPV industry will make a choice. They don't care about smaller shows running head to head but for big PPVs they will have to side.

after watching canelo get two gifts against trout and lara....and getting schooled by mayweather, i have to say...canelo is NOT ppv worthy.

floyd has to fight garcia or thurman for me to watch his next fight. if it's khan...i will be skipping that ****.

fans aren't fooled by cotto's last couple of victories over no hopers. fans definitely aren't fooled by canlelos recent gifts.

You're righ that if both go head to head they will both lose money. But....somebody is gknna have that date. And you know that Floyd will not appreciate being outsold, which I see happening if he decides to stay on that date. The only win-win situation here is if the Pac-May fight happens. They keep the date and Cotto-Canelo happily move theirs.
