Anyone been??? Good atmosphere? How does it compare to the Arena
Weighing up the options here to buy MGM closed circuit for $100 or bite the bullet and get raped buying an actual ticket for the fight?

I heard it was pretty good but there is no way I could pay $100 for that. I would rather just watch it at a Theater. I got flight tix to Vegas but Im probably not going to be able to get tix to the fight so Ill probably just watch it at the movies

Closed circuit was an earlier version of PPV. Back in the day when home PPV didn't exist if there was a really big fight they would have people pay to get into an arena where they would show the fight on a big screen. Every big city in North America would do closed circuit viewing for big fights at a local arena or theater.

Now you have PPV so closed circuit isn't as big as it used to be but it still exists.

For example, in Vegas they will open up the Mandalay Bay Events Center (which holds 14,000) and people will pay $100 to get in and watch Mayweather-Canelo on the big screen with a big crowd. They sell beer and food just like you are at the live fight, except you are watching it on the big screen.

You get to go to the weigh in for free, feel the atmosphere of a big Las Vegas event and then for $100 watch it in a major casino on big screens with sound, eat hot dogs and nachos while drinking beer....I'd say its worth it.
