Pacquiao is pretty much irrelevant at this point. Who's Pacquiao gonna fight after Rios? Pacquiao's yesterday's news. It's clear now that Arum and Pacquiao are playing checkers and Mayweather's playing chess.

Agreed. Sucks for HBO big time. They have two PPV's at the end of the year that, due to May-Canelo getting made, nobody will care much about. Don't get me wrong, I like the match ups on HBO (Bradley/Marquez especially) but Floyd/Canelo is THE EVENT in boxing of the last few years..a lot of people will be picking one of the three to order, which one do you think they'll be picking?

Stupid thread- you're only as good as your last fight. Pacquiao right now cannot be compared - he's down and out until he proves otherwise.

    Stupid thread stating the obvious

Bradley v Marquez is a fascinating match-up though
Pacquiao v Rios is an exciting fight also, though obviously it's 2 guys coming off losses so not as prestigious clearly - but that's obvious!

Give PacMan a break, he got brutally flattened. The Rios fight is terrible match-making though, cause if Pac has anything left in the tank, he'll finish Rios just as brutally, if not, a puncher is the worse kind of opponent to find it out. It's Arum's cash out on either fighter, he doesn't give a damn who it is.

Canelo-Mayweather - Great match up, intriguing for many a reason. Best match up that could have been made in boxing.
Pacquiao-Rios - Intriguing again, how will Pacquiao bounce back from the KO loss against a relentless, but ultimately limited Rios?
Bradley-Marquez - Another very interesting and intriguing matchup. Will Bradley come to fight again against a Marquez who has adapted to the weight? If Bradley sets a very good pace employing a lot of movement, will Marquez be able to cope with it, or did him knowing Pacquiao inside out help him look that good at the higher weight? How much did the Pacquiao bout take out of Marquez? Marquez isn't getting any younger.

These are 3 bouts that help boxing out massively, and continue to make it greater.

I don't think much of Rios but coming off a brutal KO it's a really good fight for manny to see where he's at and get some confidence back. All three ppvs sound exciting to me. Anybody know if any of them will be shown in theaters?

While Mayweather vs Canelo is a great match up. So is Pacquiao vs Rios.

The way I see it, is that Mayweather vs Canelo is great for the sport. And great for Mayweather's resume' should he win the fight.

While Pacquiao vs Rios will benefit each other. Both coming off losses.
Manny needs a tune up to see if he still has it, and Rios needs a stepping stone to get his name out there.

    Pac-Rios will be very one-sided

Floyd-Canelo at least has a chance of being competetive

i love watching the odd massacre though,, pac will go for the kill so im hoping for a good finish and rios will make it a slugfest

the other will be more competitve so it'll be the more important and interesting fight but i'll really enjoy both fights

Herp derp of course Floyd Canelo is a huge event.

Pac-Rios is more of a "lick your wounds" type fight packaged as a "war" except the loser is pretty much out of the game for good
