When Hatton fought Mayweather Mayweather said "80,000 people flew here over from Britain to be part of the Maywather experience" You mean to tell me that 80,000 Brits singing "there's only one Ricky Hatton" came all the way over from Britain to see Mayweather!? No they didnt

British fans follow Ricky because of the person he is, the down to earth lieable charasmatic person who is an excellent boxer, is never in a dull fight and gives fans value for there money.

Mayweather can seel tickets because he is very boring in his style, Ill never forget the bore-fest with Baldomir. Again for de-la hoya, if de-la hoya didnt make it a fight nothing would have happened.

Ricky can sell way more tickets than Mayweather, its a shame the staples centre, Madison square garden e.t.c dont have as many seats as many Uk football stadiums.

 

I think Ricky's aware that Floyd and Pac are superior talents to him;his issue was Floyd's lack of box-office appeal.
