To be fair tho, there is far more stars to choose from in the USA than there is in Britain.... this is a country that produced SRR, Ali & SRL to name a tiny percentage thru the yrs. If Mayweather was British, he would fill wembley stadium 3 times over & would already be called (by a lot of Brits), the GOAT. Seriously.
So now it's all about the ticket sales Ricky? You were singin a different songbbefore you got exposed as being a talentless piece of ****. Mayweater might not sell the tickets, but he wins fights, and does it with realitive ease.
Now that's a logical answer. :deal Like what I have already posted . . . Hatton is just making noise because he doesn't intend to retire. He is eyeing a comeback fight.
Exactly, and the only way he can get anyone worth a lick to actually fight him is to dangle a carrot. There isn't even a decent fighter out there who has to consider Hatton a formidable oponent. Not only is he a "has been", but he is a washed up "never was".
Can't agree Bill. Look at Calzaghe, Brits know he's not the greatest Brit of all time let alone the GOAT. (only using JC cause he's the nearest comparison we have in recent years) Agree he'd pack any stadium 3x over though, we have more passion for our fighters imo.
I disagree greatly with this hattons personality not boxing skills made him popular in the uk something floyd would match.
Mayweather is my favourite fighter and being British I also followed Ricky. His fanbase was huge but I always got the impression that most of it was just football fans jumping on the bandwagon for a good sing song. They created a good atmosphere but booing the American national anthem was disgraceful. A lot of my mates were/are interested in Hatton but never really took an interest in any other fights. Also I dont know about anyone else but Id much sooner have Floyds boxing skills than Rickys support.
