B-hop will be stopped for the first time ever in this fight. He's just too old to handle Pav's workrate and power. :bbb

Prime B-Hop would be a different story, but this is not a good fight for the current Hops. Pav gets a great win on his resume if this fight comes off.

Hopkins is an extremely intelligent fighter. But Father Time is a cruel mother****er. There comes a time when the body simply cannot do what the mind tells it to.

I think you are forgetting about the gap in work rate between these two, Kelly probably won't hit him a lot but he will land more punches than Hopkins.

Well, of all the fights Arum has tried to work out, I suppose this gets him the biggest payday. We will have to wait for more details, but maybe HBO promised to do some decent advertising. When I first heard rumors of the fight, I wondered if HBO wanted it since Cal wasn't fighting Pav. Kind of a 'make good' comparison. Have them both fight the same guy. But, you can be sure with Arum a big part comes down to money or FUTURE money. He is still trying to build Pavlik's career.

I've tried to make this point before. Pain avoidance becomes harder with age. That starts in training. You only think you are training as hard. It takes a few years for you to face facts. People that haven't aged yet don't believe it. They will. :deal

    Basically . . . this is a bull**** fight . . . it's a money fight for Pavlik . . . if it happens.

Bhops lost to Taylor twice and lost to Calzaghe . . . he's nothing but a HYPED fighter by now.

Well, read the whole article. You get the sense that the Pavlik camp took this fight because he was the last one left.

Of all the fights that had been proposed, I thought this one was the least likely to be made. Most people want Pavlik to fight Winky, then Abraham. Even a fair amount of people not even wanting to see the Winky fight. This is FAR from the worst of the fights that have been mentioned.

Will this fight be at 168? Hopkins could fair better at this weight then 175. We already know Pavlik has no problem at 166. It will be interesting, but I feel that Hopkins is the master of head games and gameplans. Ask Tito.
