So you believe that Floyd legitimately retired and didn't back away from a strong division whose fights would be tougher but not pay as much as DLH or Hatton? That retirement was a pure sham to protect the 0 and hope for a superfight to develop. He probably expected it from Cotto/Margo/Shane, but things worked out even better. Credit where it's due: he's taking a tough fight. Even if you make stylistic arguments that others would be tougher, no one can deny this is a great challenge. And it happens to be the most lucrative - in other words, any other fighter in his place would do the same thing.
You can call it anything you want, however; coming back and fighting two fights that will make him between 40 and 55 million $$$$$$ is not too bad.:yep:yep:yep
Floyd was a WW in 2006. Floyd wanted the fight, HBO wanted the fight, But Mosley had tootache so he said no.
He didnt said he wouldnt fight fraud he said he was taking the year off which he did,he also said they could fight early next year which was only a couple of months after the proposed date of november.
So Floyd was supposed to wait around while Mosley " took the year off"? U know damn well ur ass would be bitchin and complaining if it was the other way around. Mosley ducked him twice. Now he's out of the picture while Mayweather and Pac are about to have a superfight.
Agreed...people need to give up the hate, seriously. This is Floyd's chance to silence any RATIONAL hater, but the irrational haters will still be around. Even if Floyd KO'd Vitali Klitschko, David Haye, Paul Williams and Shane Mosley on the same night, he'd still have the irrational haters to deal with. That's the one fight he DEFINITELY can't win. Btw, I'm sure he won't care what people think after making the kind of money he's gonna make after this fight...
PBF just fought DLH at 154 so it makes since that they both meet at 147 a weight Hatton already fought at instead of PBF going from 154 back down to 140.
Pac is a great challenge for Floyd, but its not what will tell us how he would have fared against great Welters like SRL, Thomas Hearns, etc. As much as Pac has been criticized for not facing elite black fighters, the same could be said for Floyd. Those tall, fast, slick, rangy opponents that people always say "He's a hard style match up for anyone". No cherry picking going on here, but its not a stylistic nightmare either.
u r seriously embarrassing lol....it's ok for shane to just take a year off...and it was margo he was ducking til shane smoked him....just let him pound on pac and then u can come back on and look stupid some more:deal
