What, suddenly Pacquiao is afraid of a challenge?

It figures. His last fight was against Miguel Cotto. Who Floyd should have fought eons ago instead of retiring or whatever it is his people call it.

if you think this is an even fight, then you're fooling yourself...floyd has alot of advantages...he has the best defense, best running skills plus the height and reach advantages...pac may be fast but floyd is fast too...

but is that cherrypicking??? NO...Its normal in this sport that a certain fighter has alot of advantages against his opponents....But everybody has weakness, I hope roach finds that in floyd...

Anyone Mayweather fights is microscopic sized and "cherry", that's a given already. Will ANYONE here say with a straight face that if he fought Mosley instead people won't say he was scared shitless of Pac or wants to fight an older past it guy out of fear?. There are already threads about this available when the fight with Pac was supposedly not working out.

I'd like to see those former Concreto fans that used to say Mayweather fights smaller guys, even though he's a 5 weight division champion, yet Concreto is pride and glory for making a career cheating, struggling and losing to guys half his size. Seriously, take a good look at that tomato can's record and compare size differences of 80% of his opponents. Even his future plans when Mosley was supposedly a tune-up was Cotto or anyone smaller.

Just hope to see BOTH guys get 100% credit for winning this fight, Mayweather or Pacquiao. I know Mayweather won't get any but in the long run he sure as hell will since cockroaches and leeches who downgrade him will all be laughed at. Just take a look at how under appreciated Lennox Lewis was and how well respected he is now. I remember people straight out calling him a chicken and a homo upon retirement.

I still won't consider Baldomir cherry, he still beat Judah in a fight he wasn't supposed to win and did it in shocking fashion. Baldomir had Judah out in the 7th so that fight, cherry or not, was necessary. Mayweather wanted to ditch it because obviously the people didn't think much of that fight and wanted Spinks then people demanded that he SHOULD fight and beat the lineal champion at 147 since he couldn't do so at 140 with Hatton turning him down. The Baldomir fight wasn't supposed to happen, just like Ali/Young wasn't supposed to happen, Young beating Foreman is what ruined rematch plans then Young became the man to beat for Ali. There are endless similar examples, this is a sport not a scripted affair anyone has a chance. I never saw people say Ali cherry picked Young and was scared beyond belief from a rematch with Foreman.

Marquez is a good fight after two years out of the sport, he surely is not a joke and as far as I remember #2 P4P. Wasn't Pacquiao considered cherry picking for Oscar when that happened?, because the result isn't what people expected then it's cherry?. Don't think so. He signed for the fight and he WANTED to move up for it and had no chance to secure a third fight with Pac other than beating Mayweather.

Why do Floydians continue to argue that Floyd won't garner any new found respect for fighting the #1 p4p fighter in the world. Pac has already proven that he is a force at 147, unlike Marquez.

He achieved a lot of recognition for fighting and beating DLH at 154 and an undefeated Ricky hatton. He was named fighter of the year as a result.

Floyd will gain everyone's respect for simply showing up for this one.

    Win or Lose.

I dont know if I'd call it cherry picking, but believe me, Mayweather did not come back to fight JMM.......he specifically came out of retirement because he knows that he has the tools and the style to not only beat Pac, but make him look like a rank amatuer.

I'm certainly not going to get in hot debate about it now, but I'll certainly be here once Mayweather embarrases Pacquiao and to say "I told you so!"

I was never without giving Pacquiao a chance to win in any fight I've picked against him. I even gave him a chance in the JMM rematch, and I was very confident that Marquez would repeat what he did in his first fight with Pacquiao. (Which he did.)

But in this fight, I give Pacquiao almost zero chance to win.
It would have to be a one shot deal and out, because Pacquiao is certainly not going to work Mayweather.

You all have me on record. Mayweather will embarrass Pacquiao!
I've been a boxing fan for 30 years and of this I am very confident.
